This rarely modelled version of Art Scholl’s Super Chipmunk N13Y is very distinctive in flight, with its gear retracted, as shown in the photographs. The inherently sleek Chipmunk airframe now looks really clean and, like a fighter aircraft, drag free. We have produced a superb, deluxe kit which includes, as standard, a Complete Heavy Duty Main Gear Air Retract System, Spring Action Struts and 4 inch Wheels, for rough field operation. The retract units feature air up & spring down failsafe operation. Precision CNC cut retract gear mounting plates ensure the correct geometry and alignment, every time. The kit includes ABS moulded wing root fairings to ease building and enhance the scale appearance. The Computer Cut Vinyl Graphics Set makes the finished model a show stopper in the air or in the pits.

This head on view illustrates the small frontal area and low drag shape with the main gear retracted. The air operated retracts system is of the failsafe air up/spring down type. Sprung oleo legs and four inch wheels make this a practical model for standard grass club field operation.
