This is the juice that made me aware Mezcal was even a thing, I shot tons and tons of this stuff starting around 1994/95. Monte Alban is the authentic Mexican spirit distilled from the agave plant in the centuries-old tradition and technique.

The Monte Alban was the first Mezcal to be awarded an export contract and is probably one of the most authentic Mexican spirits.Doesn't have that kick and chlorophylly type taste which most tequila do, so this stuff is more pre night out shots or the occasional treat. They included a note, talking through the history of mezcal (which is always good to know), had the worm (yes, we ate it, and no, it didn't taste of anything, except mezcal) and the signature smoky flavour- POIFECT!
