For an evening out, it will turn you into that mysterious, delicious smelling enigma that everyone follows with their nose. When I was wearing it I kept being reminded of something else until it hit me and I sprayed the Bare Vanilla on one wrist and this one on the other.It s my to-go perfume espcially during winter; just a spray of it onto a fuzzy sweater and la la; i just enjoy this creamy, elegant vanilla all day. I almost bought this today, but I gave it a little time on my skin and I realized I would never reach for this while I have Black Opium in my wardrobe. It kinda reminded me of cheirosa 40 but then that one is at least lighter and fruitier so less heavy and nauseating but this one was slightly offputing for me. The main difference is that Midnight Shimmer has a faint hand cream/body lotion note that SDV doesn't have. Only one scary minus: If I have understood correctly, the production has been discontinued, so it won't be easy to find in the future.

On the bright side, it’s a great layering fragrance for when I want to add a bit of sweet vanilla into my perfume. It is very warm and tonka bean vanilla based which is one of my favorites in fragrances I love TONKA BEAN. The downside is that it’s VERY weak, you’ll probably have to spray at least 10 times to get any decent performance out of this. If you look at the packaging and the bottle, you'd Believe that what is inside the bottle is possibly a spicy and deep, dark scent.This is a really pretty vanilla, I get just a faint touch of Baccarat Rouge 540, except I can't smell it. If you are looking for a fall/winter fragrance and love La Vie Est Belle or Flowerbomb than this is an absolute must have!
