About this deal

The world that Paul Stewart paints for us is simply magical, without leaning on all of the cliches of typical fantasy elements. Twig is a good protagonist to follow, though he goes from terrible situation to terrible situation and sometimes has a bit of a convenient way of escaping those dangerous situations. As we have gone deeper into it, the world has become richer and richer, and the storylines similarly, more involved. Twig finally meets some sky pirates, whose ship has crashed due to the flight-rock which powers the ship falling out of the sky when it was struck by lightning, and helps them repair it. Fast auf jeder Seite findet man ein Bild von Twig oder den Geschöpfen, denen er auf seiner Reise begegnet.

Spelda sent Twig along the Woodtroll path to the house of Cousin Snetterbark, but Twig strayed from the path and became lost in the Deepwoods.

It exposes children to things that are important to life like loss, the value of friendship, family, and finding your own way. There's a lot of emotion in this one and I didn't expect to cry that much for a children's book but they got me.

Notikumi stāstā patstāvīgi mainās, katru reizi, kad beidzas kāds notikums, aiz tā seko jau nākamais.I like that there are sky ships and how the author explains how they fly even if you don't understand a Single thing he is saying. The Gloamglozer then told Twig that he was special, and that he too could become a gloamglozer if he joined the demon. Beyond the Deepwoods is about the Twig, a young humanoid character on his journey across The Edge, a fantasy world full to the brim with creatures and animals that both terrify and amaze us.

Armed with just a few magical gifts from his adopted mother, Spelda, Twig steps off the path and tumbles into a terrifying other world where nothing and no-one can be trusted. And in the book we have just completed, Book 7 - Freeglader - we learn all about what happened to her after she abandoned her baby in the Deepwoods. The only reason why i never put it down was because i was waiting for something good to happen, by the time i realized nothing good was going to happen it was too late for me to put ti down. I forgot most of it so I wanted to read them from beginning to end again and actually get past the second book so I started reading them again. Shouting for help, Twig attracted the attention of a band of slaughterers, who rescued the pair of them, cured Gristle, and hailed Twig as a hero. This is one of those wild imagination books, the kind of magical fantasy world that doesn't come along too often, but it is so beautifully crafted that you simply cannot wait to explore more of the Edgeworld. Beyond the Deepwoods is the first book of the Twig saga – the second trilogy in the Edge Chronicles.
