About this deal

The purpose of the application is to bolster the natural hormones of the plant and these naturally occurring substances will not be produced until the plant enters its growth cycle after blooming has occurred. Waiting several weeks on a younger plant would raise the probability of success. On the plant, the paste is applied to a dormant bud (node) on a flower branch (known as the “spike” or “inflorescence”). Pereira, G. A., Santaella, M. B., Alves, L. M. S. M., Silva, E. C., Flenga, A. You hardly need any keiki paste to produce a keiki. That’s why keiki paste comes in tiny 10g tubs. You take a tiny amount of the paste, apply it to an open node on your orchid’s flower spike, and let your orchid do the rest. What Is Keiki Paste Made Of? Look for nodes or aerial roots on the orchid plant where you want to encourage keiki growth. Nodes are small bumps along the stem where new growth can occur.As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, keiki paste is made of different growth hormones that promote plant growth. Some of the used chemical compounds are;

First, it is a perfect way for beginner orchid enthusiasts to grow their plant collection. Secondly, it helps to maintain plant size when plants have grown too large. The final reason people utilize propagation is that it produces clones. If a plant is particularly healthy or has produced a spectacular color or bloom, it can be a great idea to use propagation to make more of the same plants.

Small plants of Monstera Epipremnoides (or more recently described as Monstera Noid) are, therefore, hard to be differentiated from Adansonii. This can sometimes prompt keiki growth. I have heard of people successfully doing it! Personally, though, my experiments failed. I did get some secondary branches this way, but no keikis!

Start with a healthy pothos plant that’s at least one foot (30 cm) long. The plant should be at least a year old for best results, especially if it’s grown from single node cuttings. Remove the container from the heat, let stand for 2-3 days without closing the lid. During this time, the alcohol should completely evaporate.

Don't be greedy and try to develop too many keikis. A large mature Phalaenopsis might support many keikis, but a first bloom seedling should be treated with care. Do not treat the fifth bud counting from the base of the inflorescence. It generally produces a branch to the flower spike. Carefully remove the bract. Do not apply the regulator until after the last flower on the Phalaenopsis flower spike has opened fully. This timing is crucial and not a casually "recommended" procedure.
