Emma Doherty is a new author to me but after reading this book, I will most definitely be reading more from her.But somehow – once I made my piece with that fact – the whole plot became actually pretty damn funny and I felt so sorry for Ryan at times (scratch that – it was really MOST of the time – he was such a nice person and really had the patience of a saint). Becca and Ryan have an interesting relationship, they were once best friends but when Ryan shuns her at school it rips apart their friendship. Her character was like a car accident - it's bad but you can't help but to watch, you have to see how it plays out.
