I've heard that the other pressings have a good master and it's less compressed, but don't sound good for other reasons (sibilance, IGD, etc. Innocent was never a favorite song of mine, but this version has backing vocals added and slight changes to the instrumentals, making it a standout for me. The exhibit features a selection of iconic costumes worn by the pop star including 10 outfits — one for each of her 10 albums — running from the star’s 2006 self-titled LP, through to her most recent album, Midnights. i have owned the standard and US RSD version and this EU version wipes them out in terms of sound quality.

The more bluegrassy tracks like Mean have very very clear mandolin and banjo with fantastic imaging. Example: The Story of Us has a few moments when Swift speaks rather than sings, and I've grown to love the sass of the original version, and I just don't feel like the sass is present in this version to the same extent. Back when I first bought this record, I wasn’t a huge fan of the color — but now I actually adore it!

I’ve come across two copies of the US grey/clear pressing and both had significant surface noise on side A (both copies were brand new) I’m after a brown one but I wonder if it has the same sound problem?

Many have incredible soundstage: Back to December in particular sounds way better than streaming, dynamic and full. Her previous rerecordings (Fearless, Red) were able to elevate what she had created, her mature voice providing both albums with gravitas. I really like the European colour - it's supposed to be a 'smoke' vinyl and I think the European pressing encapsulates that a lot better than the US one! Please note due to the custom marbling process, each vinyl unit will be slightly different in coloration.I’m after one of the clear/grey pressings but I don’t want to risk getting another brown if they’re all the same.

The Vault songs for Speak Now do sound close to the "sound" of Speak Now, something that the Vault songs from Fearless and Red did not; they sounded close to what Swift created since 1989 or Reputation, which is not a bad thing.
