Which brings me to the Fragrance of the Story: the much lauded, much hyped Lattafa -Khamrah. While it's officially an Arabic concoction considered the second coming of Angel's Share, a popular men's fragrance by Killian, most of us know it's only *loosely* inspired by the boozy apple pie juice. The bottle is duped. The scent? Meeeeh. Sladunjav parfem, sa veoma bogatom aromom karamele, cokolade, ali i konjaka, veoma dugostrajne postojanosti na tijelu kada se naspreja i veoma primaljivog mirisa!
I own, by the way, the Angels' Share and can really not understand that many smell there a similarity. The Angels Share smells for me intensely hazelnut, woods and cognac and also the sillage is dominated by these notes. Why are you wearing a men's perfume? I'm asked that too often. Let's just get that nasty question out of the way first, shall we? To be honest, I rarely find the prices of perfumes "worth it", but I do think a lot of people will like this fragrance - men and women. Fair warning though – again- : if you are attracted to Khamrah because you're dreaming of smelling like Angel's Share for a fraction of the price... don't buy it. There are certainly nice dupes*, with a twist and with a very close to Killian-DNA, but both in its pyramid aswell as its scent on my skin, Khamrah is simply a unisex gourmand that could be loved by Angel Share enthusiasts on its own merit. Nothing more, nothing less. All-in-all: while the original reason for the hype is weak (dupe), many have definitely, accurately designated Khamrah's worth. The fragrance can measure itself with scent and quality against a niche caliber juice and come out, if not on top, then certainly holding an award for “Best Middle Eastern Gourmand of 2022 with excellent marketing”.First, Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes is not a copy of Angels' Share By Kilian and cannot replace it. Even if you don't like Angels' Share, you may well have fond feelings for Khamrah because it's so different. Like many of us, I don't like the idea of copying fragrances. Or rather, attempts to copy because really good copies do not exist. No imitation of a popular fragrance, whether it be Lost Cherry Tom Ford (which I think is the record holder for the number of imitations and fakes)or Angels' Share By Kilian, or La Vie Est Belle Lancôme, will smell as good as the original. It just won't smell the same. There can be no replacement and the quest to find a cheaper dupe is meaningless.
The performance on this, is mind blowing. Put this on my arm, an hour later, I took a nap and woke up 2 hours later and was like “Jeez, what’s this beautiful aroma?”, then I realized I sprayed Khamrah... and lo and behold, it was just as if I was just spraying it. It’s just too strong and loud. I just got it and It’s been 5-6 hours now and it’s still loud. The top accord of Khamrah Perfume is the citrusy freshness of bergamot framed by the warm, velvety spice of cinnamon and refined clary sage. The heart of the perfume resonates with the delightful creamy smell of praline, melting in a fragrant haze of sweet fruity notes and tuberose floral nuances. At the same time, the base of Lattafa Khamrah delivers a sumptuous aromatic trail that blends the sensual sweetness of vanilla with spicy precious woods, sweet, smoky oud, smoky aromatic myrrh, spicy tonka bean and vanilla resinous benzoin, shimmering softly in the beams. Refined amber.Even though the Angels didn't protest to sharing, Lattafa took its pyramid, extracted what they liked most, then doubled down on their own Middle Eastern twist and voila: a gorgeous brown liquid in beautiful bottle entered YouTube Frag-circles and everyone went a lil' cray-cray. (THX for that by the way. Not. I tested it júst after release, but had to wait for €€ to buy a full bottle. By the time I could, the hype had doubled the price here. The Angels Share also smells very linear to me, while the Khamrah has a changing scent progression.
First of all my mom wanted this perfume to herself because she is always disappointed by most perfumes and wanted to try something new. She bought this from an online store and while a bit skeptical she was pleasantly surprised. On her it has a nice boozy, sweet, cinnamon scent. It has a “filling” vibe to it, like eating a warm apple pie. It has impressive longevity and sillage. On me on the other hand, it is way more sweet, some of my friends have described it as caramel. It’s a huge compliment getter. It doesnt smell too sweet however, it has a refreshing kind of nostalgic type of sweetness.

Which begs the question: is it really worth it? Sadly, quite often a hype is nothing more than every social media channel copying someone else to stay somewhat relevant. So, am I bravely fighting the label-posse for naught? But Angels' Share immediately goes to an alcoholic side – cognac in all its forms, and its sweetness is completely European in spirit and taste.
