For my specific use case, which now involves working from home instead of commuting to an office, it is in fact everything I wanted. This is all to say: Seeing a mug of coffee's temperature drop from 136°F (after 10 minutes) to 111°F (after 20 minutes) was enough to convince me that, for the right person, these temperature control mugs are a good way to solve a very common problem.
