On this network topology, please connect Deco to the AUX port of the Gen-1 Starlink Router. Since the default operation mode on Deco is also a wireless router, to avoid of double NAT issue, it is suggested to change Deco into Access Point mode. Option 1: Use an inverter and just simply plug in the existing Starlink system into the 120v inverter(Least efficient). On the other end of the POE device is another swapped network connector. This cable is what goes from the POE device to your standard router. If you want to install your Starlink dish on a flat surface, but need more height than a J-Mount provides, consider using something like this Heavy-Duty Tripod Base. A Tripod Mount is useful for both temporary and permanent installations. You can stake the tripod directly into the earth for a stable temporary mount. Or perhaps you have a flat roof that you can permanently secure it to.

The starlink app connects to the dish by way of ANY router. All the functionality of the app is retained as that is not dependent on the router. The Starlink Power Supply and router does two things. First it broadcasts the internet WiFi signal. And second it takes in 120 volt AC power and converts the voltage down to 48-56 volts. One of the best mounting solutions for Starlink is the J-Mount. They are widely available, affordable, and extremely versatile. In fact, you might even already have a J-Mount from another satellite service like Dish Network. You’ll want a J-Mount that has a pipe diameter of around 1.5 inches to use with Starlink, such as the Winegard DS2000A that is pictured above. The final component needed for this conversion is a DC powered router. This is an easy one as almost all routers are powered by 12 volt even if they have an 120 volt AC plug. The dc/dc converter you mentioned will work fine. It doesn’t matter if it’s oversized(higher amps/watts) as the dish will only call for what it needs. Oversizing is never a bad thing as it’s best if the dc/dc does not run at max output all the time. Might not be suitable for: Adding a tower on your property is a big undertaking and is more complex and expensive than other mounting options. This is a more custom installation solution that will require more hardware modification than other options. The Federal Communications Commission approved Starlink's new user terminals on Wednesday. The main differences between the old and new equipment are described in the specifications section of a support FAQ. Included Starlink Base is good for: No cost as it is included in your kit. Can be secured to a structure thanks to pre-drilled mounting holes on the legs. To provide the needed power to the POE injector we need a source of at least 48 volts to power the Starlink.

if its for the poe converter, then the standard poe wire shoud be fine (568b). if not, then i need to use your wire diagram, independently of the poe injector that we use? EZ Rj45 connector Cat5 Cat6 connector network unshielded 8P8C modular Utp Rj45 plugs have hole CAT5E CAT6 plug 8p8c

For installations where you might need more height than the roof peak offers, or for those without shingle roofs, a Chimney Mount might be a good solution. Chimney Mount’s use your existing chimney to secure a pole for mounting the Starlink dish.

I am thinking that it would probably be OK. I use these same 56 volt batteries to run a rather sophisticated telescope mount that requires 48volts – and that all seems to work just fine.Instead of simply drilling into the roof, the Flashing Mount's setup is a bit more involved. It requires you to cut away some of your roof using a provided template and a utility knife, pry up the surrounding shingles a bit, and then screw and caulk the mount into position. It's a more invasive process, but that's just the reality of some roofing materials. You said in the video that your poe injector has a different cable wire. Is this due to the poe converter or is it due to the starlink dishy v2? I already have a battery power box that uses EGO 56 volt batteries – and then (with “inverters” I have installed) delivers 12 volts, 24 volts, and the straight output of 56 volts. It looks like your suggested PoE will accept this 56 volts – and simply pass that through to the Starlink antenna – do you think that 56 volts to the Starlink would be acceptable? I could not find a 56 to 48-volt inverter. Silicon into the holes and over the fasteners would be sufficient. As for routing the cable through the wall, the wall kit will still work. The only caveat for 12” walls would be that the drill bit and the cable pulling tool might not reach all the way. When drilling, you might have to measure and go from each side separately and hope the holes roughly line up. Then you just have a 3/4” hole for the grommet on each side. Besides the cable, nothing else needs to be installed in or through the wall, so the kit would work for you. Reply As of November 2021 Spacex / Starlink started supplying a smaller "Generation 2" rectangular dish. It is 19" x 12" with a similar mast diameter to the original. It is a significant improvement in design because you now have a choice as to whether the cable should exit above the pole (that it is being installed on) or be routed down inside the pole. In the case of the latter, which in most cases would be the neater option anyway, it actually makes the pole 1.5" pole coupler even more suitable because more of the Starlink's pole (up to about 14.5cm of it) can be inserted into our recommended coupler which results in an even more stable install.
