COSTUME INCLUDES: Our Wonderland Costume includes Blue Alice Dress with a White Apron with Front Pockets, Black Alice Headband and Black and White striped tights, you’ll be looking like the real deal with this costume set! Not only that but it can give new confidence – pretending to be someone or something else; develop creativity, imagination and thinking skills.

As confident as our son is with his beautiful blonde hair (despite lots of inappropriate comments by at least one adult who should know better! You could choose to just wear a white rabbit onesie, or you could go for this suitably dapper version with dress, bow-tie, hat and gloves, or this version with trousers. As soon as the World Book Day theme was announced our youngest was certain he wanted to go as a card (only I never knew that it was what was suggested to them and that most the kids were going as cards! The annual celebration of World Book Day provides children across the nation with the perfect opportunity to let their imaginations run wild, dressing up as their favourite book characters. At lunch time, the children played croquet, took part in a scavenger hunt and older children read to the younger ones in the newly created reading space.

For World Book Day, Oliver decided to go as the Guinness World Records book in a costume created by his mother, Sarah Goodson.

Children wrote invitations to the Mad Hatters tea party, made bookmarks, cheshire cat masks and caterpillar puppets as well as studying the famous ‘Jabberwocky’ poem. The costume featured a selection of world records achieved by notable figures including Usain Bolt and Ed Sheeran.

Ideally this would have been red – but I don’t think that matters when it is a bit of fun at school for one day. The body of the dress is made using a stretchy crochet top which is fully lined for coverage so it is comfortable to wear with great movement so perfect for little ones that love to perform. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, is a children's novel, written way back in 1865 by the English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, more commonly known as his pseudonym Lewis Carroll.
