About this deal

Even without active noise cancelling (ANC), they block out more sound than the Anker Soundcore Life A2 NC Truly Wireless in the mid and treble ranges, so you don't have to crank up your music to drown out chatting coworkers or the high-pitched hum of a nearby AC unit. Zero-Pressure AirWings: Our unique hollow AirWings have a flexible, soft silicone build that partially deflates to conform to the shape and size of your ears for a secure fit with unmatched comfort. Fully Sweatproof and Waterproof: Spirit Dot 2 true wireless earbuds boast IPX7-rated protection that’s strengthened by exclusive SweatGuard technology. The Life Dot 2 earbuds aren’t packed with features, but they do include a couple of handy features to provide a good experience. The Anker Soundcore Spirit Dot 2 is a good fit for me personally, but whether it’s right for you depends on a few things.

Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2 is not supported by the proprietary Soundcore app, which is also frustrating.Anker makes plenty of great audio products under the Soundcore branding, and while its products are rarely beautiful or flashy, they’re always well-thought-out and a great value. Stereo separation within the earbuds is also good, each audio channel is identifiable and tracks that make use of stereo panning sound immersive and provide an up-close listening experience. Also, they're compatible with the Anker Soundcore app, so you can customize their sound using the graphic EQ and presets. It's frustrating to use the mobile every time to lower or raise the volume which is a con I would say. Meanwhile, the A2 NC are comfier, more stable in the ear, have a longer single charge battery life, and are compatible with a companion app that features a broad range of customization features.

With that said, the TOZO have slightly lower latency on PCs as well as iOS devices, charge a bit faster, and have a higher IPX8 rating for water resistance. I’m not sure why this is the case as these would be great features to have and I’d definitely like to see these earbuds integrate with the Soundcore app in the future. On the other hand, the Life Dot 2 are a bit cheaper, have a much longer total battery life, and marginally better noise isolation performance. It's 8mm driver perfectly fits into your ear canals when you combine the right size of Airwings and ear tips. Their sound profile is well-balanced, with overemphasis across the bass range that adds rumble, punch, and boom. The underside is also home to the charging pins and magnets that securely hold the earbuds into the charging case. Vocals in songs sound clear and well pronounced, I did notice a little bit of sibilance here and there, but overall vocals sounded clear and well balanced although depending on the production of a track they can sometimes be overtaken by bass synthesisers and drum kicks due to the emphasis on the low end.
