About this deal
The compounds contained in sour cherries can also reduce the production of carcinogenic chemicals from the food you eat. Use freeze-dried cherries in cereals, porridge, cakes, cookies and for topping desserts, shakes and smoothies. Sour cherries, also known as tart cherries, are dark-red and, compared to sweet cherries, more acidic, smaller, and juicier. Eating sour cherries before and after training may prevent muscle sores and also accelerate the post-workout regeneration process. As soon as the sweet and sour cherries are shrunk into small, freeze-dried fruits, they are sent to the packaging station.
I’ve used them in my cereal using cranberry juice as I hate the taste of any milk and these were delicious and tangy.Compared to conventional drying, freeze-drying is a very gentle process which leaves most of the vitamins and nutrients intact, and intensifies the sweet and sour taste of the cherries!
In Western Europe sour cherry is more commonly used in desserts, and one of its best matches is with dark chocolate – a great tip is to mix some sour cherry powder into whipped cream to top chocolate cake.
