About this deal

So, when you see or read a review, you have to remember that the resulting image is due to the photographer's eye and not the lens. The 35mm (135 equivalent: 53mm) lens has a standard focal length with the angle of view similar to that of the human eye. You can upload: image, audio, video, document, spreadsheet, interactive, text, archive, code, other. I opted for the 23mm f/2 instead for my travels before eventually adding the Fujifilm 35mm f/2 to my collection.

While showing some age by today’s standards in terms of autofocus and technical characteristics, the lens has some of the most unique characteristics of any modern lens to date. If you’re concerned only with bokeh and aren’t held back by manual focusing, you might enjoy the Mitakon 35mm f. It's a love-it-or-hate-it, stylized aesthetic, but I haven't been able to stop shooting with it since I picked it up.This lens is still insane and, if the 35mm focal length is something you can work with, you will love this lens. This means that out-of-focus highlights can taker on slight color fringes, green in the background and magenta in the foreground. If you were to only ever use the lens with the hood on, you may never actually realize the front element moves. If you are shooting in areas where noise matters (such as a quiet church or a performance) then the 35mm F2 will be the lens that you want to purchase. I've greatly exaggerated it here by shooting a gray field and presenting it against another gray field.

They don’t have that slight hollow feel that was a trait in some of the first generation lenses like the XF 35mm f1.

This is the lens that I would say has, hands-down, the best “character” out of all three of these lenses, and it might be one of the best I’ve ever used from any manufacturer. The 23mm lens is a great all-rounder and was pretty much great for everything but sometimes I felt something was missing. As with every other owner of this lens, I cannot quite put down in words what makes the Fujifilm 35mm f/1. And hence, being part of the Fuji X mirrorless interchangeable lens system launch, the Fuji 35mm f/1. I’ve seen some criticism of this lens’s sharpness wide open, but I have yet to find much to complain about after using 50mm primes from other camera makers.

I shoot without a lens hood and embrace flaring when it happens, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Fuji 35mm 1.I'd leave either a 52mm Nikon Clear (NC - UV) filter, or a 52mm Hoya Super HMC UV on the lens at all times.
