About this deal

In addition, she learns that Nina spent time in a psychiatric hospital after trying to kill Cecelia when she was a baby.

She finds Millie and, through a private investigator, learns that Millie was in prison for murder—in high school, she killed a boy who tried to force himself on her friend. Read both books in under 2 weeks because I was so into it, would have been sooner if I didn't have stuff to do, or work lol! On one hand, this was garbagio, on the other hand, it had some things that kept me reading and enjoying myself.

As always, not much to say about a thriller without spoiling anything (that would just be bad), but let's sum up the thoughts. Not wanting Millie to bear the consequences of something she tricked her into doing, Nina asks her to leave. I won't put spoilers in, but I was also pleasantly surprised and rooting for other characters that I very much disliked in the beginning by the end as well. This was entertaining, a bit predictable, some light suspense, and an all around easy read with a couple silly parts.

All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you! It was mentioned about 3 times and it kind of seemed like a triggering statement to keep making if the reader has problems conceiving. She wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and finds herself locked in; her is phone missing, and three heavy books have mysteriously appeared. Not a blockbuster read by any means, but it's already been popular because of that eye-poking cover. She doesn't have too many choices and one that provides her with a place to live, sounds like heaven as she has been sleeping in her car. She’s given a tiny room in the attic that only locks from the outside and has a window that doesn’t open. I don’t normally read thrillers either but picked it up because of the great reviews its been getting.

And the worst of all, she has a room in the attic where she's sleeping, and the door lock ONLY locks from the OUTSIDE. At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.I didn't like Nina in the first half of the book I knew there was something not quite right with her but you find out from the half way point. Then came Part Two, and there is a SURPRISING twist, but it’s very OTT and the story goes off the rails at this point. The reason I haven't given it five stars is that I didn't like any of the characters enough to really care about what ultimately happened to them, but it was a good pacy read. To cheer Nina up, Andrew asks Millie to book tickets to a Broadway show; however, Nina gives her the wrong dates and can’t go. this book had me thinking i had everything figured out one minute and then completely confused the next.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If this is the part of the job where i find out cecelia has actually been dead for ten years and is a ghost, i’m quitting. Anyone who loves The Woman in the Window , The Wife Between Us and The Girl on the Train won’t be able to put this down! When she learns a dirty little secret about Nina's past and gets warned by the hot, candy-like landscaper Enzo, who unfortunately speaks only Italian, she realizes that by accepting this job, she may be putting her life in danger. i would not survive a single minute in freida’s mind, but i’d still pay to live a day in there anyways.I knew right from the beginning that I would enjoy this heart-throbbing, jaw-dropping, unputdownable, twisty psychological thriller, but I didn't expect to love it even more and immediately decided to jump into the next book of the series, despite some reviews emphasizing that it might not be as good as the first one. She lives with her family and black cat in a centuries-old three-story home overlooking the ocean, with staircases that creak and moan with each step, and nobody could hear you if you scream. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor.
