Rain will eventually wash the efflorescence away, but normal traffic and/or cleaning may also remove it. The content of the bag should be mixed before sweeping the material into the joints otherwise the binders will not be mixed with the silica sand. If you do not compact the filling material with the use of a vibrating plate, the filling material will subside in the joint, and you will need to refill the joints after a short period of time.I am very disappointed with Dansand,I followed instructions to the letter and now I have more weeds and moss than ever. Excellent product, easy to apply and although not yet tested, it would be great if it did inhibit weeds.If you use the filling material for coloured, porous pavings, it may settle in small depressions in the stones, leading to discolouring. Ensure joints are clean of weeds before brushing in Dansand NO GROW to help inhibit new weed growth and keep your block paving looking good for longer. It is therefore important that you filled your joints in a height of 4 cm when you first applied DANSAND® NO GROW™ in 2021.
