There is a great story here with a bit of a mystery and I enjoyed every minute of it whether I was laughing or crying. With Carol being forced out of the home she has loved, she is traumatised by the sudden turn in her circumstances. Declan’s children, Killian and Sally resent Carol and with Power of Attorney put his house up for sale, leaving Carol to move back in with her comfortably off parents, Moira and Dave.LIZA, a professor, is pregnant with a baby she's not sure she wants by a man she's not sure she loves and GRACE, their dawdling youngest daughter, lives a lie that no one in her family suspects. Neither family is excited about their relationship and the small town gossips can't understand why Carol would be into a man like Declan. Forever Home audiobook narrated by the author, Graham Norton, is definitely a "Yes, please" and "Thank you very much" experience for me. I loved the main character’s mother, Moira, and some of the side characters were entertaining as well.

Effortlessly readable, possessed of a super twist and full of rounded characters to keep close to your heart.She just wants a quiet celebration: her daily swim in the sea and a cup of tea with granddaughter Elin and great-granddaughter Beca. Forever Home is filled with quirky characters, witty dialogue, heartbreaking realities of life and a powerful storyline of what one will do to protect their family, even when the family does not know they need protection. I figured the wit he shows during his interviews for his TV show would surely factor into the story and it definitely did.

I listened to this on audiobook and, as always, the author’s narration is brilliant, a perfect showcase of his comic and artistic abilities.
