About this deal

Charli XCX—one of the better 21st-century pop artists operating in Harry’s spirited yet serious style—wrote “Gravity,” a spaced-out synthpop romp that allows Harry to vamp and pout.

The sleeve for the "Tonight" single is a few mms shorter on both sides as it doesn't have an inner sleeve like the other singles which come with the box. Fragments“ kombinert alle Elemente und Tempi in einem Song, ist quasi das Album in Kurzform und mit einer Laufzeit von knapp 7 Minuten auch der bei Weitem längste Titel von „Pollinator“.Harry’s voice gets to peek out from the digital-processing curtain as guitars and keyboards zip around her. Me gusta cómo no le interesa a Blondie el estatus de sus colaboradores, ya sea que se trate de Sia o de un chico con algunas canciones en YouTube, Blondie pone al mismo nivel todas las colaboraciones y sus propias composiciones haciendo que suene excelente todo el álbum.

Pollinator opens with the Harry/Stein rocker “Doom or Destiny,” which chugs along on a simple, brain-Velcro riff and is full of winking wordplay; Congleton gives Harry’s lower-register vocals a metallic sheen that makes the rapid-fire internal rhymes sound playfully robotic. At Metacritic, the album has a score of 71 out of 100, based on 22 reviews, indicating "generally favorable" reviews. As a collector's item, I prefer this single box edition to the coloured vinyl albums as there is more quality production for your money.

The album was more prominent on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart where it debuted and peaked at number 4.

Blondie toured for the album during 2017 and 2018, visiting several cities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, France, Ireland, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Cuba.Fun" became Blondie's most successful single in years, rising to Number 1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs (Blondie's first appearance on that chart since 1995) and many charts in other countries. Every track is a perfect mashup of the band's sound and soul of the albums Parallel Lines, Eat To The Beat and AutoAmerican. Great album, as good as their classic albums of the late 70's and early 80's which I bought as a school boy.

The band's performance at WTTW's Grainger Studio in Chicago, taped on December 10, 2015, aired on the PBS concert series Soundstage on January 26, 2017, containing the new songs "My Monster" and "Gravity". OK - I 'caved in' and bought the ltd edition, single-sided "Tonight" single, with "Blondie" etched on the other side. Lead guitarist Chris Stein stated in an interview with Mojo, "We thought to ask people because there's so much good music swirling about", rather than it being a result of running thin on ideas. I'm so happy to have finally got around to picking this CD up, and kind of slapping myself for not doing it sooner. Fragments", released for streaming only, is a song originally written and performed by Canadian YouTuber and musician Adam Johnston, who releases music under the name An Unkindness, that gained much attention during the Australian tour and was released as a promo track on YouTube.

But Pollinator transmits that freshness of his 1978 album "Parallel Lines" mainly in his cut "Long Time" clear nods to "Heart Of Glass". The album also debuted at number 1 in the UK Independent Albums Chart, and remained in the top 50 for 16 consecutive weeks. From the title on down, Blondie makes it clear that Pollinator, their 11th album, is full of outside ideas—only two of its 11 songs were co-written by Harry and Blondie’s longtime guitarist/Harry’s songwriting foil Chris Stein.
