The Galactic Council was formed to enforce precious peace, and it has taken many courageous efforts to prevent the escalation of malicious acts. I love how the game gives you that option, letting players push to the limits of what they can afford.

Build: Pay materials to build ships (for attack and defence), starbases (for defence) or a couple of other structures that give you points or resources. Some of these tiles also have some SUPER ELITE upgrades on them that you can ONLY find on these tiles. That person flips it and can choose to either take the reward they find or keep the tile as an extra 2 vp’s. There are lots of decisions to make and most of them are only focused on you but looking ahead at the board state you can really plot out a strategy that involves other players based on their actions.I didn’t see this problem AS MUCH in higher play count games but that aspect of randomness wasn’t all that fun for us.

It comes down to personal preference at the end of the day, and I recognise that my perfection is another player’s boredom. The cardboard tokens are thick and sturdy and the only thing that seems “lesser” than the rest are the player sheets themselves.I've looked all day and although I can find the other small extras elsewhere, Remnants is only available on Lautapelit. Each faction has a different design of ship so it’s easy to tell which race you’re playing as even if you struggle telling apart the colours. But for a game generally considered to be a wargame, Eclipse does a fantastic impression of a low-interaction eurogame at two players. But, thanks to lockdown restrictions, I’ve found it to be a quite brilliant two player economic game.
