My advice would be to play around with all three modes, and see if you can tell any appreciable difference in your prints. It prints mono A4 pages quickly at 32ppm (pages per minute), though that slows right down in auto duplex mode. For Velvet Fine Art only one setting is available ("Standard") which appears to be the same resolution as "High" for matte or glossy papers but is not bidirectional. The gray ink is the one that gets used the most — it helps with tonality when printing photos (and graphics, to a lesser degree).
