About this deal

Ethyl Ascorbic Acid or EAC for short is an "etherified derivative of ascorbic acid" that consists of vitamin C and an ethyl group bound to the third carbon position. A 12 carbon length fatty acid that can be found naturally in coconut milk, coconut oil, laurel oil, and palm kernel oil. It’s an ingredient whose safety hasn’t been questioned so far by anyone (at least not that we know about).

But if you were fairer skinned, it showed that you were someone of leisure and opulance; sat, guarded indoors or under a parasol.

It can act as a film former, as a thickening agent, or it can increase the water-resistance in sunscreens. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product. Tetrasodium EDTA is the salt formed from neutralizing ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid with sodium hydroxide. However, the majority of the scientific community have deemed these findings non-conclusive due to the limitations of these studies. O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid interferes with the process of skin darkening, helping to reduce hyperpigmentation.

It’s definitely a smart thing to avoid with sensitive skin (and fragrance of any type - natural is just as allergic as synthetic, if not worse! It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. Its main thing is being an opacifier and pearling agent in cleansing products making them white and glossy. People in Asia use skin bleaching ( of which Drops of Light is not) just as people in the US and Europe have tanning injections – two extreme ends of the same scale. So the Marula oil - similar to many other plant oils - is a really nice nourishing and moisturizing oil that can improve skin hydration and smoothness and it can even reduce skin redness. It’s part of 200 natural oils including lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot, jasmine, geranium and it can be found in 90-95% of prestige perfumes on the market. There is a touch of alcohol again which isn’t noticeable but still just watch it around your eye area.

It is also used to entrap pigments/inorganic sunscreens within a micron size matrix for even coverage and easy application. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. The complex of active ingredients penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin, providing a gentle cleansing effect and intensive hydration. Foods containing sodium benzoate include soda, salad dressings, condiments, fruit juices, wines, and snack foods. If you have an interest in elephants and Africa, you have probably heard of elephants getting drunk from the fruit of the Marula tree. Regarding conversion, we can cite only a manufacturers claim saying that EAC is metabolized in the skin into pure ascorbic acid (and the ascorbic acid content of EAC is very high - 86,4% - compared to the usual 50-60% Vitamin C content of other derivatives).

Deeply purifies and cleanses the skin, without over-drying or stripping the skin of precious moisture.

Once inside the skin, it hydrates, but not from the outside - putting pure water on the skin (hello long baths! httphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttphttp://) NotNotNotNotNotNotNotNotbaNoNotNotNotNotNotNotNotNotNotbaNoNotNotNotNotNotNotNotNotNotbaNoNot bad, maybe more suitable for dry and sensitive skin. If (similar to us) you are in the weird habit of reading the label on your shower gel while taking a shower, you might have noticed that sodium chloride is almost always on the ingredient list. Not only does it deliver a concentrated surge of brightening and reparative ingredients but it also leaves the skin shine free.
