About this deal

Just dropped on streaming services, the new René LaVice remix of Mindfields ( Listen here), taken from The Fat Of The Land 25th Anniversary Remixes E. It's certainly worthy of this limited-edition anniversary pressing, which comes on eye-catching silver-coloured vinyl.

Following its 1997 release, The Fat of the Land became a global phenomenon, debuting at number one on album charts around the world and going on to sell over 10 million copies.

Alongside a reissued version of the record, The Prodigy also announced a tour off the back of the alum’s anniversary kicking off next month. Thursday 30 June - marks 25 years since the release of The Prodigy’s The Fat of the Land; an album so iconic it turned the sound of underground rave music into a global force; capturing the world's attention and dominating the charts. It follows last year's vinyl reissue of the UK dance legends' third album, in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Speaking on the tour, the band said: “We can’t wait to get back on stage to play our tunes for the people again. The Prodigy have announced a limited edition vinyl reissue of their influential 1997-released record ‘The Fat Of The Land’ to mark its 25th anniversary. Continuing the celebrations around the 25 th anniversary of The Prodigy’s game-changing third studio album The Fat Of The Land, XL Recordings announce a stacked new remix package. The album’s journey started with the single ‘Firestarter’, which was released alongside a bold video that was shot in London’s abandoned Aldwych Tube station and directed by Walter Stern. The Prodigy‘s third album ‘The Fat Of The Land’ turns 25 today (June 30), and to celebrate they’ve announced the release of a special edition reissue of the acclaimed LP.

Of course, we all know the smash hits - the bustling, acid-flecked roll of 'Smack My Bitch Up', ultra-heavy 'Firestarter' and funky, low-slung 'Breathe' - but the set's lesser-celebrated moments, such as hip-hop jam 'Diesel Power', Meat Beat Manifesto-esque 'Serial Thrilla' and punky 'Fuel My Fire' have aged equally as well. An album so iconic it turned the sound of underground rave music into a global force; capturing the world’s attention and dominating the charts. In celebration, XL Recordings announce two anniversary releases, including a special edition silver vinyl 2LP package of the original album with a re-imagined version of Alex Jenkin’s artwork, and a brand new remix of ‘Firestarter’ by drum and bass pioneer Andy C. The reworked record is due for release on November 4 via XL Recordings in a limited number of silver vinyl copies and a “reimagined” version of the record’s original artwork by Alex Jenkins. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, XL Recordings have announced two-anniversary releases including a limited edition 2LP silver 12-inch vinyl package of the original album with a reimagined version of Alex Jenkins’ artwork.
