About this deal

Bond uses in the series; what's new is cool, what's familiar has proven its worth, and it's a winning formula. Honestly, huge chunks of this film are brilliant, and as the house lights came up, I found myself moist-eyed and missing my wife and kids. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The dynamic audio ensures that every explosion, chase, and dialogue is delivered with the utmost clarity and impact.

He fill the movie with great action and stunts throughout it just simply has you glued to your seats. But the film lives or dies on the relationship between Bond and Swann, and Lea Seydoux and Craig convince wholly, the peaks and troughs of their particular relationship across both Spectre and here don’t feel cheap and are beautifully tied into those character and emotion driven themes of the last few films. The narrative sees Bond retired and having been emotionally devastated by a betrayal from someone close to him, he is pulled back to active duty to track a stolen bioweapon, with links to both Blofeld and Spectre and a mysterious masked villain, himself with a terrible past involving Madelaine Swann (Lea Seydoux – Blue is the Warmest Colour, Spectre, The Lobster). It's simplistic which I get, but it seems such a basic photo edit, with a spine that makes it seem like your missing the rest of a collection.all of the grittiness and teeth audiences have come to expect from the Daniel Craig franchise films. Bought blu-ray version for my dad for Christmas and it didn’t work, sent out a replacement and that also didn’t work.

For more about No Time to Die and the No Time to Die Blu-ray release, see No Time to Die Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on December 9, 2021 where this Blu-ray release scored 4. Fine detail is exemplary, outside of some of the softness around the edge of the image inherent with the Panavision lenses and shooting style utilised. The behind-the-scenes footage, making-of documentaries, and interviews with the cast and crew provide a fascinating insight into the filmmaking process and the efforts that went into creating this cinematic gem. We assume we know who our new Bond is, but they have given enough wiggle room to backtrack and get a muscular white man if the alt right kicks up a big enough stink. A Global Journey (1080p, 7:50): In the Bond tradition, No Time to Die travels the globe to build its story. The overheads aren’t used particularly aggressively, with discrete effects few and far between – however, they are used to provide a wonderful sense of immersion to the entire soundstage almost constantly. Universal brings No Time to Die to the UHD format with a very impressive 2160p/Dolby Vision UHD presentation.

Maybe not by design – the narrative muddle of the five films shows that at least from a storytelling perspective there was no single, overarching plan – but certainly by theme, it makes you wonder why with On Her Majesty’s Secret Service often topping so many polls of best Bond film, with its devastatingly emotional payoff, we haven’t seen Bond as such a human animal before.A fitting finale for Daniel Craig, not as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall but still plenty enjoyable.
