About this deal

Wracked with self loathing and guilt Jules indeed goes Off the Deep End and her mental state deteriorates into a violent and unstable mess. If the book is judged deficient, cite a successful example along the same lines, from the author's oeuvre or elsewhere. He is meticulous and driven about his training and in no mood for a rookie reporter following him around. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). Good book, took me a few more days to read than books usually do due to it being quite a plain read but it did have a few twists which kept my attention, the author could do with some better endings to her books.

The communion between reviewer and his public is based upon the presumption of certain possible joys in reading, and all our discriminations should curve toward that end. There was also a few plot holes, that I don't think would have been there if so much hadn't been going on.

Now, she spends her days writing full-time where she uses her clinical experience to blur the line between fiction and nonfiction. I remember when I read Saving Noah I wanted to fight the mom so bad, but the storyline and flashbacks were so interesting, I could blow past it.

She walks us through the trauma visited upon these people in chapters headed by Jules' voice as well as by Amber's voice. As usual, Berry tightens the screws smartly in the opening pages and never lets up, and as usual, her ending is more intent on deepening the nightmare than providing a plausible explanation for it. In this moving novel, Berry creates a beautifully crafted study of secrets and grief among a tight-knit group of friends and of how far a mother will go to discover the truth and protect her children. The ending is literal garbage - it wasn’t the focus of the whole book there was no lead in - no mention of what was to come… I get it it’s a twist but you don’t tell a story about 89 other things then throw in a WILD AF twist that has nothing to do with the rest of the plot thats just frustrating.Finn may not be an athlete but he proves he has the strength to believe enough for both of them as he guides Wes back to the diving arena with gentle sensitivity and unwavering support. I felt the dual POV's that were relatively opposing to each other really kept the intensity up throughout the story and you never fully knew who to trust. Right and wrong can be ambivalent, and this story explores all shades of gray, from their dysfunctional family to an old childhood friend to a husband who may or may not be too good to be true. But when he and Finn meet, it doesn’t take long to realize that there is something there between them, that spark that can’t be denied.
