Although the reversed deep recline position is said to be suitable for newborns, I personally would only put a baby in it after 3-4 months old because the seat is not totally flat and the design of the stroller seat is relatively open. As the seat is wipe-clean only, you should choose the darker-toned stroller if you are afraid of stain marks on the stroller over the years of usage. The footrest is also not connected to the seat all the way so there will not be any flat surfaces/calf rest to support the baby’s legs before they are long enough to reach the footrest.
