About this deal

While by no means lightweight, I found them reasonably weighted when you take the toughness of the shell into account. There are plenty of flimsy no-name alternatives which are over 4kg for a medium. S’Cure cases are built from Flowlite Polypropylene. These weights are based on the nicer DLX versions with upgraded interiors. Well, after some trial and error, I now go with ‘Secure,’ only with a silent first ‘e.’ If you prefer ‘ES-CURE’ then more power to you! The texture of the suitcase also means that any scratches will not show like they would on a material like ABS. The flat matte finish also helps with this and will eave your suitcase looking fresher for longer.

The wheels on the Samsonite S’Cure are excellent and performed well over a number of surfaces. Obviously, with all suitcase wheels, they don’t perform that well over rougher terrains. This aspect of the review considers the materials used and I anticipate how durable the luggage range will be based on my experience. I then look at the finish of the item to give you an indication of the quality. When the clasps are closed, the suitcase is perfectly sealed. This also improves on zips in a waterproof test as there is nowhere for water to ingress. Wheels One side of the clam shell design is fully encased with a zip. The other side has luggage straps that are non-adjustable. You therefore need to fill this high enough to prevent clothes falling out. Samsonite S Cure 20 Inch Capacity

A Lightweight Case at a Fair Price

At a price point close to ‘no brand’ alternatives – you get a case which will last you for years (maybe even decades!).

With engraving, you can add your name or a personal message of up to 25 characters onto the metal of the suitcase handle. Engraving is available in different fonts.Thank you for taking the time to read this Samsonite S’Cure review. This was an interesting review for me…something different for a change. Having reviewed hundreds of suitcases over the years, something a little different can peak my curiosity. We have three ways for you to personalise your large suitcase. You can engrave or emboss your suitcase, or you can add a personalised luggage label to your suitcase. The carry handles are integrated into the case design and they are very well done. The side handle is lifted out whereas the top handle is always available. The material is comfortable enough. InvalidParameterValue|The value [B0BL3Z3ZZ7, B09V837JVF, B0B1VTNGLW, B07Z43RS9Y, B00VFQS6WM, "B07PJVB3QN", B01D1HKCBA, B00J9YQEZS, B007WQJSGM, B07DM66FD8] provided in the request for ItemIds is invalid.

Another option is to engrave your name or a personal message of up to 25 characters onto the suitcase handle. You can also change the font of the engraving. I actually agree with this design choice, it reduces weight and actually makes it easier to keep clean. Since most linings cannot be removed, they cannot be cleaned to a high standard. The clasp mechanism for opening was popular with buyers. Obviously, zips are more trouble than you’d expect when it comes to travelling. They are double wheel spinners with 360-degree maneuverability which means the suitcase will go exactly where you want it too. Samsonite S’cure 30 Integrated ID tagWe can already make certain assumptions with Samsonite. They have been in the business a long time, they know what they are doing. I honestly can’t remember the last time I thought they released a poor product.

The pull handle is as you would expect from Samsonite. Strong and robust. It is secure and the movement up and down is very smooth. As I mention above, the finish is excellent. Something you expect of Samsonite and this range is no different. There are no concerns or issues to report here…proceed with confidence. Instead of the regular zip we see on most suitcases, Samsonite have offered a new direction that I think we will see more of in the future. Zips are a particular weak point in luggage because of damage and theft. The seal removes those weak points. The integrated ID tag is a nice feature that you don’t see often enough. It is handy and invaluable if the case goes missing. Samsonite S’cure 28Yes, there is no zip mechanism. Instead there is a waterproof seal and the suitcase is closed using clasps. What is the Samsonite S’Cure DLX range? The interior of the case is partly lined with nylon material, again with the aim of weight savings. Samsonite S’cure 75cm Durability Concentric square rings on the front panel sets these cases apart. Add dots to the middle around the distinctive Samsonite logo for a classic look. While the shape is the standard rectangle box, these are smart cases. Small touches like contrasting colours just above the spinner wheels and contrasting telescopic handle make it stand out. If there is a luggage company that knows what it is doing, it is Samsonite. They are masters of innovation in material and product durability. There is a reason they offer a 10-year warranty, this is the level of confidence they have.
