About this deal

Open communication and trust building are two key components to developing this type of connection. Moreover, Adam - who's granted bail and confined to his Virginia home with an ankle bracelet - launches an investigation of his own. Whether or not Sarah’s desire for revenge on Adam was justified is a matter of personal opinion. In my case, Adam’s infidelity was a betrayal of their marriage vows and may have caused significant emotional pain for Sarah. On the other hand, Sarah’s decision to frame Adam for a murder he did not commit was both illegal and morally reprehensible.

Adam is executed, Sarah and Bob get married, and Sarah admits everything to the readers. She was the one who killed Kelly and set Adam up to take the fall. The Review: Additionally, by understanding how each partner expresses themselves differently in different situations, couples can become more aware of what works best for both parties when dealing with emotional or financial issues. Kelly had changed her name after murdering her ex-husband and getting off when her current husband mishandled evidence. Jeneva Rose sure knows how to write unlikeable characters! Which character in the book did you find the most unlikeable and why? Despite that, did you understand their actions?Do you agree that the novel suggests that unfettered revenge can easily supersede justice and that without adherence to a clear idea of justice and legality, revenge can become the driving force behind one’s actions?

One million sold:“A tantalizing premise... twists at every turn... [A] masterful debut about betrayal and justice” by a New York Times-bestselling author (Samantha M. Bailey, #1 national bestselling author of Watch Out for Her).Warning ⚠️: Minor spoiler again. Scott was supposedly suspended after beating up Adam. He never goes through any time off for funeral arrangements for his wife and all of the sudden he’s handling Adam’s breaking house arrest then beating up Bob then put on suspension again? Wasn’t he already suspended? How long does suspension last? Isn’t all of this a big conflict of interest because of messes like this happening? Then Sheriff Stevens asks Bob if he wants to press charges but he never asked Adam that when he got beat up.

She killed Kelly, solidifying their alibi. A collateral damage in what Adam did to her. He was spoiled by his mother, not independent, living off her, and even if she loved him, she didn’t want any liability. The 3rd DNA was of Sheriff Stevens, not presented because it didn’t matter. I'm not an expert in the legal field by any means but I'm thinking the head of Law Enforcement on the case shouldn’t be catering to the defense attorney. Much less making googly eyes at her. They were the most incompetent, unprofessional group of law enforcement ever! I didn't realize everyone and literally their mother was allowed to see interviews etc.... Rose emphasizes that marriage is an ongoing process requiring constant attention to ensure it continues to thrive. She provides strategies for couples to identify areas of improvement and develop skills for better communication. This includes examining one’s own feelings about themselves and their partner as well as developing ways to express these feelings within the relationship. It is important to remember that no one should feel obligated to share everything they are thinking or feeling; rather, it is up to each individual to decide how much they wish to communicate. Sarah’s past plays a significant role in shaping her personality and actions in the novel. Growing up with a mother who was heavily reliant on her husband, Sarah became fiercely independent and obsessed with control. This desire for control manifests itself in Sarah’s need to get revenge on Adam for his infidelity. Sarah’s past trauma also affects her ability to develop emotional connections with others, which is evident in her interpersonal relationships.

How does this story portray the justice system? Do you think the author was making a statement about the justice system and death penalty? let me elaborate. firstly, a wife.... defending her husband.... in a murder case???????????? WHERE THE VICTIM IS THE HUSBANDS MISTRESS?????? It started innocently enough. Denise occasionally used prescription drugs to help her deal with the long hours and demanding nature of her job. Derrek, also under pressure at work, began using cocaine socially with some of his colleagues. It is irritating when I put things together way before the characters do and have to watch them scratch their heads and think "where have I seen this guy before?" It is also irritating when characters act one way for the entire book then turn to the audience and mwahaha at the end.

Adam is having an affair. His wife Sarah is too busy at her law firm to have time for him so he looks elsewhere for his companionship. And the woman he falls for just happens to live in the town where Adam and Sarah have a vacation home. Well that’s convenient! Oh yeah, did I mention this woman Kelly also happens to be married!?💁🏻‍♀️ Even though the ending was predictable, I was somewhat hoping it would have ended in a different way, it ended to blissful; if that makes any sense, it ended to ‘perfect’, and I know sometimes people in this situation, things don't always go this route for them. By cultivating an atmosphere based on honesty and respect between partners, couples can lay the groundwork for a lasting relationship filled with love and commitment. Understanding Needs Marriage is most without doubt an effort that each person has to give their 100%, their all, and not just 50/50; regardless if you have been married five months, five years or fifteen years. No marriage is perfect, but you can 'invent your own picture-perfect live'. So many people pay thousands on the wedding, and zero on the marriage. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting to have a beautiful ceremony, but don't be so into the glamour of your wedding, you forget about the glory of the relationship God has mended together. And then there is the couple themselves .... are they really in love ... really happy with their new partner? When James starts working with a beautiful woman, Jessica begins to think maybe her marriage isn't that perfect after all. Also, was Kelly in an abusive relationship? Because I'm pretty sure that wasn't cleared up(?) I don't like when a character knows something is or isn't true because they see it in someone's eyes, or some other such nonsense, but then it turned out that maybe he was lying? Who even knows? After rereading a number of chapters through a new lens I did make a little more sense out of the reveal, but I think it’s asking a lot of the reader. Unless you can easily suspend your disbelief. There were a lot of red herrings. Kimberla’s books deal with very real issues, including women empowerment, sexual harassment, racial and gender discrimination in the workplace, problems within the church (and the consequences), Christian/family/moral values, drug and gambling addiction, marriage, infidelity, single motherhood, breast cancer, infertility, sibling rivalry, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, mental illness, and the care-giving of a parent to name a few. In addition, Kimberla’s books offer a message of redemption, forgiveness, and the realities of everyday life.
