Conversely, if the grind is too fine, it can choke the Gaggia, causing the coffee to drip very slowly or not at all. Hard water can cause scale buildup around the wand’s valve, preventing it from closing properly. Descaling your machine every three months, especially if using hard water, can prevent this.
