Suitable for fishing: I don’t usually recommend compact boards for fishing as they don’t have sufficient weight capacity or features. The Cruiser Ultra is an exception. It has plenty of storage and attachment points for rod holders and other accessories, it’s stable and has a large weight capacity. You wouldn’t notice a huge difference in speed in the 10′ to 11′, the more noticeable thing is the stability difference. I can feel the difference in speed between the two but I’m not sure if that’s because I was looking for it or if it’s noticeable haha! The Sport is a bit more to handle and not as versatile as the All-Around and Isle Explorer. I would opt for one or the other over the Sport. The Switch is incredibly stable, thanks to its dimensions (11’6 x 35.5″) and wide shape. I was impressed by its ability to support up to 425 lbs of weight without any wobbling, sagging, or sinking. Even in windy conditions, the board remained steady and comfortable. As someone who weighs around 220 lbs, I can vouch for its stability. It’s worth noting, though, that the kayak seat only has attachment straps near the top, so expect it to shift around a little. It still works though – and that’s what matters!
