About this deal

The Flymo EasiMow 340R, the 300R and 380R, are fitted with a rear roller. As I mentioned earlier, this makes it a much more stable piece of equipment, but that’s not the main function of this part. The rear roller allows you to create a striped lawn so if you want a more traditional looking garden, you can do this with ease. The rear roller also makes the mower more stable particularly when cutting close or over the edge of flower beds. A hover lawnmower that can’t pull in enough air will struggle to hover and will feel very heavy. This is often due to a build-up of grass clippings under the hood. Give the mower a sweep out and avoid mowing when the grass is damp to help prevent this issue. Where are Flymo lawnmowers made? The Flymo EasiMow 340R runs on a 1400 watt motor. This is a nice amount of power for an electric mower of this size, so you can feel confident that it’ll get the job done efficiently. However, I found a possible design flaw here. Even though the manufacturers mention you can fold away the handlebars to achieve compact storage, I couldn’t see how to do this when the wire was wrapped around it. Maybe it’s possible, but it certainly isn’t obvious.

This mower can handle up to 400m2 lawn maximum. If your lawn is larger than this it will struggle to keep up. It can’t handle a garden that slopes any steeper than 1 in 6 slope so not a good option if your garden is steeper than this.I was pleasantly surprised that the instruction manual was A4 in size. Most manuals are A5 and can be harder to read, especially when it comes to viewing the pictures. Not only were the images bigger than most other lawnmower manuals, but they were also very clear. One step was described per image, which was a welcome factor. Cutting Ability– It does give a decent cut if you use it for what its intended. Cut your grass regularly, keep it to a decent length and the Flymo Easimo will put in a decent performance every time. That’s all you can ask of it really. It does help massively that the mower has a metal blade. The metal blade cuts though the grass cleanly and is pretty strong so expect to get a decent lifespan out of it. If there’s one thing that really does annoy us about mowers these days, it’s the fact that some manufacturers (including Flymo) design their mowers with sub-standard plastic blades which tend to break after a few uses. You won’t have that problem with this blade though, that’s for sure.

Cutting Heights– If you want to change the cutting height this isn’t too hard. There’s three different height settings and a range of 20mm to 60mm. Now 20mm isn’t really, really short – so if you like a short finish on your lawn this won’t do the job.20mm is a perfectly tidy finish though. Anyway to adjust the wheels you just simply move the front and rear wheels. The axle of the wheels slots into 3 different grooves which determine the cut height. Flymo is a leading brand that is produced by the Husqvarna group. This company is a world leader in the production of outdoor products such as tractors, lawnmowers, chainsaws, and much more. Can I cut wet grass with a Flymo? For small lawns (up to 100sqm) you should be ok with a cutting width of around 30 cm, medium lawns (100-250sqm) will need 35-40 cm and larger lawns (250sqm+) will need 40 cm+. Grass Collector Vs Mulching If you really take pride in your lawn and are aiming for a high quality finish every time then this is a great option for you. This is a rear roller lawnmower so will achieve that perfect striped finish. Their mowers are powerful, reliable, and the familiar orange colour really sets them apart from other brands. Flymo really knows their stuff when it comes to compact, affordable lawn solutions and I love their products so much I’ve dedicated an entire lawnmower review article to them! There are three stages to the assembly of the Flymo Easimo, two of them are straightforward and one is a little bit fiddly. When you open up the box you will see you’ve got the mower itself, the handle (which comes in 2 parts) and the grass box. Step one is just to attach the lower part of the handle to the mower unit itself. There’s nothing hard about this really, it’s just matter of putting a bolt through, placing a washer on and then tightening up a wing knob. You don’t need any tools to do this; your bare hands are fine! Once you’ve done that you have to do exactly the same thing to attach the upper part of the handle to the lower part. Be careful here though; make sure the upper handle is the right way up. You should be able to see the push button facing upwards. Once you’ve tightened up that wing nut you’re almost done. All that needs doing now is to assembly the grass box and that’s the fiddly part.
