About this deal

This multi-tool is recommended for both men and women who want a small yet functional full-sized tool. Whether you need a plier, electrical crimper, bottle opener, screwdriver, wire stripper, hard wire cutters, or saw, this multipurpose tool is something worth getting. Most importantly, it can be a great buddy for work. It’s one of the best and high-quality Leatherman super tools and is made in America. However, the manufacturer described the sturdy stainless steel used in making this multi-tool as premium stainless steel.

Most importantly, for individuals who do not want to compromise the product’s quality for quantity. SpecificationTo remove asphalt or other substances, you can use turpentine to remove it. Also, don’t use any chlorine products. Another thing that I was hoping to see on the Rebar is a screwdriver that uses interchangeable bits. You get this feature on some premium multi-tools, but sadly Rebar is not one of them. Instead, you are limited to the basic Philips screwdriver and two flathead screwdrivers. The Leatherman Rebardoesn’t have any tools that are on the outer side. Thus, the one-handed operation might be a bit complicated, but this should not be a problem for a die-hard multi-tool user.

You don’t even get a Torx screwdriver, which is something else I wanted to point out. That’s fine if you rarely encounter Torx screws, but not if you want a multi-tool that has that feature. A precise measuring guide for determining length in inches or centimetres, up to 8 inches or 19 centimetres. Since this multi-tool doesn’t have outside accessible knife blades, the possibilities of pinching your fingers and hands are dramatically reduced. Who Can Use This Product? Yes. The warranty only covers the primary or original owner and doesn’t cover unreasonable/unauthorized use, loss, theft, alteration, and abuse. If you fit the above description, using your multi-tool predominantly for the pliers and wire cutters, the Rebar is an excellent choice. It will long outlast its novelty and competition. For "every day carry" in which you want more general purpose tools like scissors and will use the blade a lot, our Best Buy Leatherman Wingman is surely a better value. The Rebar is stouter, with better individual tools, while the Wingman is easier to use and far less expensive. ConclusionFantastic little Leatherman that's legal to carry everywhere in the UK. Wouldn't leave home without it! The entire appeal of multi-tools lies in their portability – you are getting 17 different tool functions, but they are all contained within this small chunk of stainless steel that weighs less than 7 ounces. And in that sense, the Rebar is one of the most portable multi-tools that exist. Either way, I recommend the Leatherman Rebarto everybody interested in small yet amazing multi-tools. Rebar is a working-man and outdoor tool specifically designed for the weighty usage of screwdrivers, pliers, and wire cutters. It’s less expensive and thinner than the Charge or Wave. The Rebar is excellent in terms of durability – not only are the blades and all the tools made from a premium material that is extremely tough, but they are also rust-resistant. This multi-tool is not at all prone to corrosion, and if you properly take care of it, you should be able to use it for quite some time.

Depending on what your Leatherman Rebar multi-tool has been exposed to, there are various cleaning techniques that you can consider. The only full size Leathermans that have ever been UK legal were the Juice range, because the blades were on the outside. The Rebar multi-tool is made mostly from 154CM stainless steel, which has a carbon content of around 1% and chromium content of nearly 14%. That makes it a bit tougher than the 420HC stainless steel, which is seen in these tools more often. In fact, you can see 420HC stainless steel even in the Rebar – both the straight and the serrated knife are made from that exact type of stainless steel. Also, when bringing out any of the tools, you’ll not chip your fingernails. So to all ladies and gents out there, this could be a great multi-tool for you. Quality of ConstructionThe spring-loaded pliers can turn bolt and knots, and the wire cutters are sharp. I like its serrated knife, which allows you to slice various items easily. Design The final tool of the Rebar is the one at the bottom on the left hand side of the image. It is a can opener, a bottle opener and a wire stripper all in one. It might just be the tool you use most, which brings me to my next point – what happens if it breaks? On the other hand, the warranty doesn’t cover sharpening, cleaning, color finishes, imprinting, accessories, and cover sheaths. Cleaning Techniques

Like a decent pair of scissors. Sure, you can use the straight edge knife to cut through pretty much anything, but a nice pair of sharp scissors would give you a bit more control. That’s the largest downside of the Rebar – all of the other features that it’s missing are nowhere nearly as popular as scissors. This is a great tool, and its reliability is quite amazing. However, the performance of this multi-tool, especially the smaller tools are very impressive. Looking at the photo, you can see that there are five tools on the right hand side. The largest of those is a straight 420HC stainless steel knife, which is sharp, rugged and super durable. It is a must on tools like these, and its quality and durability certainly don’t disappoint. This side also features a metal and wood file, small and large flathead screwdrivers and an awl with a thread loop for creating holes in materials and sewing. However, what’s impressive about its size is that even if it’s lightweight, small, and compact, the materials used seem to endure heavyweight jobs. Also, it’s worth pointing out that the metal and wood file on the Rebar is not suitable for sharpening other blades. It is not tough enough for that, but you can use it for smoothing edges and sharpening pencils. Only files that are diamond coated are rough enough to be used for blade sharpening, and those tend to cost about twice as much as the Rebar, so bear that in mind.

Need this item fast?

I bought this as I wanted a UK legal carry multi tool. I do have a Wingman. This tool is several leagues above the Wingman in terms of quality and how it feels in the hand. It does not have scissors, like the Wingman, but the toolset on the Bond is significantly better, especially the Philips screwdriver. And the fact that it comes with a decent pouch just adds up to a very good buy for the money. We heartily recommend this tool to electricians and fencers that will predominantly use the pliers and wire cutters. Because the blades and screwdrivers require deploying the pliers to access, we recommend something like the Victorinox or Leatherman Charge to those with more all-around uses. Value Rebar is one of the most compact multi-tools from Leatherman, a top-notch brand name when it comes to manufacturing high-quality multipurpose tools.
