Excellent in that I could have any size I wanted (I was trying to source a gardening zone for my disabled wife). Drill and drill bits (if you have one available, it’s faster to use one drill for pre-drilling, then an impact driver for driving all the screws… they’re often sold together in combo kits so if you don’t have these, I highly recommend them!) Secondly the holes underneath the top pieces were drilled out badly and for the end two holes, incorrectly! The end two holes in each top piece don't take into account the the base of the plug that sits on top of the metal brace leaving a small gap. Why are these not drilled out correctly, it makes the whole thing look odd.

Set Up & Assembly

Planter Bottoms- Planter bottom options provide drainage on hard surfaces such as concrete, allowing full-size vegetable gardens on rooftops, driveways and parking lots. Integrating a trellis into your raised bed will maximise production and create more space. Plants that can be grown on trellises include vegetables such as pole beans, peas, tomatoes and cucumbers. Some trellises are permanently attached to the raised bed, while others can be installed temporarily and taken down in the winter months.

If you’re strategic with your garden planning, you can use raised beds to conceal unsightly areas! Use a raised planter to section off the area where your wheelie bin is stored, or go for taller raised beds to conceal an ugly garden fence. We recommend letting the boards sit in a garage, shed or covered area for 3-5 days to allow the boards to acclimatize to their new environment. This helps to prevent anycupping, warping, and gapping.Height- Raised beds can be built as tall as you like in 5.5 inch board layers, the most popular heights being 11 to 22 inches. Taller raised beds reduce the need for bending over, help deter pests, and provide soil space for deep-rooted vegetables. Width- Raised beds around 3 to 4 feet wide provide the most growing space while still allowing access to the center of the bed. Narrower raised beds, 1.5 to 2 feet wide, are useful for along fences and the sides of houses, or wherever access is limited to one side.
