About this deal

The amount of options for upgrades and customization is what sets this apart from similar blasters. While the Spectre Rev-5 can compare, it will likely be found at twice the price. Something like the Disruptor has a close price resemblance but has no extra options at all. The cons of the extra design are that it is a bit big for a pistol, making it too large to holster or conceal. Without attachments, it is also too small to be a primary. That being said, the Commander is comfortable to hold and use. Ammo and Loading: 7.8/10

Elite 2.0, as its name suggests, is a spiritual successor to the 2012 N-Strike Elite series. Its blasters feature a similar design to those seen in later releases of N-Strike Elite, with the exception that the blasters are now teal and orange in color, rather than blue and orange. Most blasters include double their intended firing capacity worth of darts. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. Initial reception to Elite 2.0 was very mixed. While the inclusion of additional darts, an abundance of accessory attachment points, and the overall ergonomics of Elite 2.0 blasters have been praised, the changes to how the blasters are assembled have been highly criticized. Many of the first Elite 2.0 blasters were assembled in a way that makes modification and repairs difficult. While blasters are still held together by standard screws and/or pressure clips, as introduced in the Alpha Strike line of blasters, many others are also ultrasonically or solvent-welded together. The quality of the plastic used in production has also been called "thin", compared to previous or other releases, and some parts such as jam doors can be easily snapped off. Additionally, many of the metal springs in blasters have been replaced with plastic leaf springs, which are less strong and can break after long periods of time. Fully load the 6-dart drum and keep 6 more darts nearby so you're ready for reloads. Fire, reload, and fire some more

Performance

As the Commander is one of the least expensive blasters you can buy, there isn’t too much to complain about.

The Commander averaged 76fps in my testing, with the included darts (enough to fire the blaster twice through!). Accuracy with Elite darts varies, but it is what it is. Rate of fire can easily reach four darts per second in fast hands, if slamfire is used. Of course, keep that for emergencies, as you only have six shots before you’re out. Well, we have already shared the magic of the Flipshots blasters with the Flip-32, and you’ll be pleased to know that the Flip-16 features the same innovative “Flip” technology, turning a simple 8-shot, front-loaded blaster into a concealed 16-dart powerhouse! Interestingly, despite being a follow-up to N-Strike Elite, the word "N-Strike" is not present in Elite 2.0's name.Overall its value is hard to beat, but it would be a bit more fun if it came with at least one attachment. Final Verdict
