About this deal

As I said, we’ve not been able to test out Thurso’s newest version of their surf SUP electric pump, we’ve had no problem inflating two boards in a row with their older version. Thurso does a great job of making a compact but capable pump. Specs Voltage Required: This powerful pump inflates to a maximum of 20 PSI in two stages. In the first stage, it works at a speed of 350 l/min and 70 l/minute in the second stage. The Seamax inflated my 11′ demo SUP board in a little under 9 minutes. This SUP pump adaptor is made of durable and high-quality materials to ensure that it will last a long time, even when used in wet conditions every day. The design makes it lightweight and easy to carry around so you can take it with you anywhere without struggling or having any problems. It’s also compatible with regular air valves which means if your type of pump valve isn’t readily available, this will work as well. Like most of the electric pumps that have been reviewed above, the Sevylor 12V 15 psi SUP pump has adapters to make it compatible with as many valves as possible.

There are a few things I don’t like about this SUP pump adaptor. The first is that the plastic material seems to be very thin, which might make it more prone to ripping over time. The second thing I’m not too keen on is how you’re supposed to use your thumb and index finger (with no glove) to activate the air valve – though maybe this isn’t an issue for those of us with small hands. The best part of these adapters is they are universal so you don’t need to worry about which valve your board has since they’ll fit a majority of valves. Just insert into Schrader Valve on paddleboard, push down firmly onto surface while pumping up. The SUP pump adaptors are connected to the valves of your board and can also be categorized as threaded and compression. Threaded adaptor screws onto the valve, while compression can be used with both threads or without them. The time to fill the SUP with a SUP pump adaptor need not be long. It will vary depending on how much air is being pumped and the size of the SUP, but it can take anywhere from five minutes for smaller boards to up to thirty minutes or more for larger boards in rough seas. For most paddlers this range should suffice as an estimate.

Nixy Sports don’t just make amazing paddle boards. They are also known for their quality inflatable paddle board electric pumps. The Nixy Ventus would be great for you if you want an electric air pump that can inflate multiple boards.

Tips for Electric Air Pumps

Slow to inflate: The Nixy was slower than other models, taking just over 9 minutes to inflate the test board. The paddle board pump has a digital display and an auto-off function. All you have to do is set the psi and let the electric pump do the rest. We also love the convenience of being able to recharge the power unit. You can charge it up while you load your car or during your drive, and we’ve found that we can inflate around 2 boards with a single full charge. Diversity Low cost: The SUP20S is the cheapest pump in this review. It’s great value for money – if it doesn’t break. If the kayak is unwanted, it is your responsibility to arrange and pay for the return to our base in Truro, Cornwall. The kayak can be returned to us by a courier of your choice however, due to the size, weight and handling difficulties, couriers do charge a considerably larger fee compared to a standard small parcel.

The Seamax works for inflatables with the Bravo, Halkey Roberts (HR), Naru and similar air valves. Make sure you get the best O ring size for an airtight connection. The length of the inflation hose varies from one pump to another and it is usually indicated along with other specifications. The hose should easily reach your SUP even when using the car cigarette lighter. The pump comes with two 0-rings to adjust the depth of the valve. This should guarantee a perfect fit with inflatable boards of all the major companies. The aspects you should consider when buying a SUP pump adaptor include the following: Type of SUP pump valve Carry bag included: The Ventus comes with a robust carry bag to keep the pump and accessories together. When Outdoor Master came out with the Whale electric pump, I was super excited to see how it would compare to the Shark II. While the two do have a lot of similarities including the built-in cooling mechanism, digital display, cigarette lighter cord, auto-shutoff, and the addition of 4 nozzles, there are a few major differences. A dual-stage electric pump has two inflation stages. It has the first stage which is high-speed and the second stage which is low-speed. The second slow and final stage reduces the risk of overinflating your paddle board. This pump inflated my demo board in less than 10 minutes. It inflates to a maximum pressure of 20 psi. Durable and rustproof. It has a hard plastic case, so it is very durable (even if you drop it in water). The SUP connector head is made of metal for extra durability. In addition, the inside parts are made with rubber which makes them resistant to any kind of damage from humidity or saltwater. The pump has an LCD display. It allows you to set the pressure and go on about your business. The pump will stop pumping when the set pressure is reached.
