About this deal

So for the gears, after some runs, I don’t ear anything ( I put everything in place again), but the FF01 is now doing some weird noises...I will investigate. I've run a TT-02 with a 32T Pinon (made by MST) + 63T spur and you need to trim the gear cover (part D3) from the inside a bit as this large pinion will rub. I suspect that a 31T pinion *might* be small enough to not need trimming. Carefully inspect all the gear teeth for damage. Usually when gears start skipping one tooth gets chipped or bent and it continues skipping only on that tooth, causing more and more wear each time it skips.

Bathtub-type frame features longitudinally-placed battery and R/C mechanism placed flat for a low center of gravity. This exciting shaft-driven 4WD R/C buggy assembly kit creates the Plasma Edge II. The Limited-Edition version seen here comes with Gun Metal color finish. The body sit on top of the TT-02B, which is a dedicated off-road buggy chassis that offers hassle-free assembly and maintenance, as well as superb controllability. 47446 Tamiya Plasma Edge II – Gunmetal ABOUT THE TT-02 B CHASSIS: That to me sounds like the ring gear on the rear diff which is the major weakness in the TT02B drivetrain. It will keep going for a while yet if its intermitrant. You have a few options.there is a number of nicely build TT02B’s buried in the build threads it may be worth looking at those as well. The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02B buggy chassis employs a skid-shaped frame. Its suspension setup uses 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with long arms, I think i will follow your advice about spending money in another kit but I don’t know which one. Db01 is not a very old one ? Special feature 6: Aluminum rear uprights ensure that the TT-02B MS retains stability when cornering.

The listed values are top-speed, acceleration is another matter. Higher-powered motors will feel a lot more punchy throughout.

This is a Limited-Edition version of the Plasma Edge II off-road buggy. The body is pre-painted in Tamiya’s PS-46 Iridescent purple/green color. The body sits on top the easy to build TT-02B chassis for fun off-road driving! I am also trying not to do things "for future". I did this with my other hobbies and really regretted in many cases. There is also the TB range which is the shaft drive version at the same level as the TA cars. The TB05 Pro looks cool with different motor positions. The TB04R is a fully hopped up TB04. Adding a little bit more into the mix, I've been sloooooowly working on a model to predict top-speed for different FDR's. This is what I have so far: i’m pretty happy with the tt02b as is for the moment, but if you see other suggestions to improve or to anticipate wear out or break, please don’t hesitate

I'm surprised to hear the bearings are different, I thought they used the same hubs and axles. I don't have a TT02 though to compare. You can't fit a 28T or 29T pinion with a 68T spur on the TT-02 with Tamiya's motor mount (mounting holes just allow up to 27T).May be a silly question, but for bashing only, is it not overkill choosing an excellent model such as the TRF ? I mean, will it be more difficult to break with all the reinforced parts or due to the performance increase, it will still finish to break hard ? (Anyway the steering will be more precise so it could be more manoeuvrable ?). Just a simple thought what is the best compromise : upgrading a tt02 or choosing a better model which btw seems to match my expectations in term of parts and performance... but for bashing hum
