About this deal

Fuel increases can also be seen as a double hit since this has led to taxi and bus fares going up. This means that many people now have to pay more for transport and for paraffin to heat their food and homes, but they still have the same, low income. What will happen going forward? NatWest, RBS and Ulster Bank to close at least 172 branches in 2023/24 – here's the full list, plus alternatives

Thanks for all the detail and calculations, scothun and HappyMJ (and welcome to the forum, scothun!). Its amazing, VERY hot and economic and the best thing is its all containd, you just press a button and it lights itself and turns itself off too. Chlorinated paraffin wax [C 24H 44Cl 6] weighs 1170 kg/m³ (73.04071 lb/ft³) [ weight to volume | volume to weight | price | mole to volume and weight | mass and molar concentration | density ] Unfortunately kerosene is not the same thing as paraffin. The heater manufacturer specifically warns against using it. I asked a fuel supply company about it and was told that paraffin is refined to a higher state of purity. I believe it is quite similar and in a pinch might perhaps be used, but do not want to risk ruining the heater, and also would be concerned about bad odor and possibly dangerous fumes. Kerosene (heating oil) is always burned in a closed container and fumes are vented outdoors. Paraffin is burned as an open flame right in the room with me, and venting is only by natural room ventilation. I would love to pay 1/3 of the price I am paying now, but I don't think the risk is worth it.

Current Price Of Heating Oil

These prices are mainly affected by the international oil price, which has climbed steadily since the start of the year.

Crude has rallied strongly in the opening months of 2021, supported by the vaccine-aided recovery from the pandemic and the decision by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies to keep a tight rein on supplies. Do you have a Power of Attorney? MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis explains how this crucial protection works, why it's more important than a will, and how to get one in the latest episode of ITV's The Martin Lewis Money Show Live. Polluting: Paraffin releases harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide and particulate matter, which can exacerbate respiratory illnesses. Class C1 Paraffin, is called Premium Paraffin because it has a reduced level of sulphur, this in turn reduces the traditional paraffin smell which is given off when burned – i.e when the heater is running, and this is why Class C1 Paraffin is marketed as ‘Odourless’ and is often the first choice for indoor heating and traditional paraffin lamps. Unfortunately Premium Paraffin also comes at a premium price in the UK and is difficult to source in bulk. Despite the heater being rated at just 3kW, it distributes the heat better than the gas heater and brings the room temperature from 10C to between 18C and 20C with the central heating reduced to just 1 hour a day. The room size is roughly 50m2. As for the fuel, I use the normal red colour kerosene (here in Ireland) from the pump and my workplace pays for the fuel. Another big advantage over the gas heater is less humidity. With the gas heater running on full, the humidity reaches 70% to 80% going by my desk hygrometer. With the inverter heater, the humidity usually settles around 60%, which means less paper jams in the printer or copier.

paraffin wax: convert volume to weight

One of the main advantages of paraffin is that it burns cleanly and efficiently, producing a consistent heat that can keep your home warm and cosy throughout the winter months. Plus, it's generally less expensive than other heating fuels, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious homeowners. CaribSea, Freshwater, Instant Aquarium, Kon Tiki weighs 1601.85 kg/m³ (100.00023 lb/ft³) with specific gravity of 1.60185 relative to pure water. Calculate how much of this gravel is required to attain a specific depth in a cylindrical, quarter cylindrical or in a rectangular shaped aquarium or pond [ weight to volume | volume to weight | price ] Despite its negative impact on the environment, paraffin has several benefits for households in South Africa: Paraffin wax weighs 0.93 gram per cubic centimeter or 930 kilogram per cubic meter, i.e. density of paraffin wax is equal to 930 kg/m³; at 20°C (68°F or 293.15K) at standard atmospheric pressure. In Imperial or US customary measurement system, the density is equal to 58.06 pound per cubic foot [lb/ft³], or 0.538 ounce per cubic inch [oz/inch³] . The wholesale price per litre for illuminating paraffin for 2022 in South Africa, to date, has been as follows in the coastal regions and Gauteng: Region

If you've ever wondered about the difference between paraffin and kerosene, you're not alone. Many people believe that these two fuels are one and the same, but in reality, they have distinct properties that set them apart. Its an electronic one with a fan, so the ony power used is to the fan, the hating is all done by paraffin. The price of international products used in the refinement of petroleum have been sustained at elevated levels, following a sharp spike at the end of February. Crown Oils in Bury, Greater Manchester have a heating oil (28 second kerosene) pump for the general public.
