We provide free Prescription Deliveries to the SA18, SA19, SA14, SA15, and SA31 areas which include Ammanford, Llandeilo, Carmarthen, Tumble, Cross Hands, Pontyberem, Penygroes, Tycroes, Glanamman, Brynamman, Llangadog, Llandovery, Dryslwyn, Ffairfach, Carmel, Derwydd, Drefach, Llanddarog, Llanarthney, Saron, Capel Hendre, Capel Dewi, Llanfynydd, Manordeilo, Taliaris, Cwmifor, Llanwrda. For pharmacists, the level of complexity, autonomy, and scope of practice within these pillars at advanced practice level are defined within the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) core advanced practice curriculum. The RPS further split the clinical pillar into 2 domains- Production – we have a fully licensed preparative services department, based at The Royal London, making total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and sterile manufactured items. We have expanded our centralised intravenous additive service both within our hospitals and to patients at home. Whistleblowing is defined in the Standards as when a person ‘raises a concern that relates to speaking up, in the public interest, about an NHS service, where an act or omission has created, or may create, a risk of harm or wrong-doing'.

Nigel Williams Pharmacy is and Indipendant community pharmacy in Carmarthenshire providing NHS Services. We have Pharmacies in Llandeilo, Tumble, Cross Hands and Carmarthen. The Sore Throat Test and Treat service offers patients with sore throat symptoms to access clinical screening, clinical assessment and appropriate treatment from a community pharmacy. The service is provided by accredited pharmacists, and patients are advised to confirm availability before travelling to a specific pharmacy. If the Pharmacist feels like Levonelle One Step is not suitable for you, they will not give you the morning after pill, but advise you to see your health care professional. The plan, which has been co-created by Scotland’s Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, NHS Education for Scotland (NES), the University of Strathclyde and Robert Gordon University, Directors of Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy Scotland, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), sets out timings for the introduction of the new Foundation Training Year, introduction of new GPhC standards, and the eventual graduation of the first new IPs in 2026. A medical gas testing service is provided and the department is responsible for co-ordinating drug recalls initiated by the Committee on Safety of Medicines. Getting your prescription The vocational training foundation programme for pharmacy technicians has been developed in response to an existing gap in pharmacy technician education and development. Please note, there are other emergency contraceptive options available through your doctor or at a Walk-In centre. Multi-profession resources that align to the pillars of practice are available on the TURAS Learn advanced practice toolkit . The toolkit represents the similarities in advanced practice across professions. It contains excellent resources on leadership, education and research which are relevant for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, as well as contextualising advanced practice for supervisors and line managers.

We want everyone to feel comfortable raising issues of concern and confident that those issues will be investigated fully and impartially. Nobody will be unfairly treated for raising a concern, for having a whistleblowing allegation made against them or for cooperating with any investigation. NES Pharmacy provides support to pharmacy technicians through a Vocational Training Foundation programme, designed to build in a progressive manner a common set of behaviours and skills required by all pharmacy technicians. We also support pharmacy technicians to progress towards the Professional Development Award (PDA) in Assessment and Supply of Individual Patients' Medicines at SCQF Level 7. Vocational training foundation programme for pharmacy technicians A service that enables women aged 16-64 to be assessed for UTIs and to be provided with antibiotics if indicated. The programme aims to build in a progressive manner a common set of behaviours and skills required by all pharmacy technicians. It is designed to increase confidence, competence and capability. Pharmacy technicians completing the programme will develop a systematic approach to practice within their defined roles.

NES Pharmacy has developed a new online learning pathway for pharmacy technicians working in General Practice. This redesigned course replaces the previous 3-day Bootcamp with an online modular structure consisting of six modules undertaken over a six-month period.
