We could easily list 20 spots, but we’ve narrowed it down to five that showcase Yorkshire’s coast, dales, and industrial heritage. These locations offer a variety of scenes for every Yorkshire landscape photography enthusiast. Essential Gear for Capturing Yorkshire Landscape PhotographyYorkshire is not just a county; it’s a canvas for Yorkshire landscape photography. With its towering coastal cliffs, rugged limestone formations, ancient stone walls, and mesmerising waterfalls, Yorkshire is a haven for photographers. But where should one start their Yorkshire landscape photography journey? The first thing to get to grips with when starting a project with any new species is to learn as much as you can about its habitat, behaviour, and seasonal activity. 1. Habitat First, you must spot a hare before it spots you. Once a hare is aware of you then your cover is blown and you’ll never get close enough to secure a useable picture. The Waterfall: One of the most beautiful in the Dales, especially captivating in winter when icicles form and leaves don’t obstruct the light.

Earlier this year, Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary, unveiled plans to ban police from recording NCHIs just because someone is offended.Although there are many hay meadows spread around the whole of the Yorkshire Dales, the best known examples of these are probably found near the village of Muker in Swaledale. By using traditional farming practices and no pesticides, the meadows are left free of sheep, so grasses and wild flowers can flourish. Three Different Falls: Each of the falls—Upper, Middle, and Lower—has its own unique characteristics, offering a variety of compositions. You are bound to get some good shots on a visit to Brimham regardless of the weather, just let your imagination run wild. Twisleton Scar is situated above the village of Ingleton, at the head of the famous ’Ingleton waterfalls walk’. The scar is an area of moorland and dramatic limestone pavement, with views to two of Yorkshire’s famous ‘Three Peaks’ (Ingleborough and Whernside). You have to work and adapt your vision to your surroundings to make successful images, which will surely only make you a better photographer. Without the usual stream of images popping up on the internet, you’ll head out with no pre-conceived ideas about what or how you’re going to shoot. This stops you becoming ‘blinkered’ to other types of images.
