If you travel frequently — or seldom but have other places to use the transmitter — the AirFly devices are an absolute no-brainer. AirFly Pro lets you toggle between Transmission (TX) and Receiver (RX) modes. With TX mode, you can wirelessly stream audio to any wired speaker from your device. With RX mode, you can enjoy audio from any audio-out device directly into your earphones. The device has a small keyring that you can attach to your keyring. What we like about AirFly Pro The one real limitation of the AirFly Pro is it’s fairly short range. If you’re planning on going more than 15 feet or so from the audio source, this isn’t the product for you. But that’s not a issue if you’re in a plane seat, or working out on a piece of gym equipment. Transmit mode means it will send the audio from the device it’s plugged to, straight to your Bluetooth device (e.g your Bluetooth headphones/earphones). This accessory is easy to carry around, measuring just 2.2 inches by 1.0 inches by 0.4 inches. It’s a featherweight 0.6 ounces (17 grams). After fully charging the device with the included charging cable, we were able to pair our set of AirPods Pro within 30 seconds with the push of a couple of buttons — one on the AirFly and one on the AirPods case. During our testing on a nearly completely full airplane, the AirFly had no difficulties producing sound without interfering with other Bluetooth headphones in the small space.AirFly (2nd gen) is not currently compatible with AirPods Pro (2nd generation). Flip the switch on the side of the AirFly Pro dongle and it becomes the receiver of the Bluetooth transmission. I'm a big fan of Bluetooth receivers in my house. I own a lot of older speakers that don't support Bluetooth. As long as you have a 3.5mm aux-in port (not the headphone port, that's aux-out), this will make your home sound system Bluetooth enabled.
