The rubber profile & media keys, as well as the audio wheel, feel cheaper than the rest of the keyboard A Logitech G gaming keyboard has features that are built for gamers while having many standard features found on a regular keyboard. The same is true for gaming mice. The best part is that gaming keyboards and mice are usually designed with ergonomics in mind, so they make excellent daily drivers for office work.Keeping on the topic of the G-Hub software, there are a wide number of customisation options. I mentioned the five G keys, you can create whatever macro you like and attach this to one of the keys. In addition to this, you have free reign to simply assign the key to launch any program at the touch of the key. Thanks to the fact you have three profiles, you do have up to fifteen macro keys at your disposal. Anti-Ghosting: With anti-ghosting, you can press as many keys as you need to at the same time without worrying about some keys not registering. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the RGB, powered by Logitech's Lightsync technology and the earlier mentioned G-Hub software. The software gives you a lot of options to choose from when personalising your keyboard. You can set the lighting per-key, set up a variety of animations or select from several preset options. Either way, with the options available and the ability to change the intensity of the lighting, you're going to have a lot to choose from. The Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB also offers a set of five gaming macros which are easily accessible down the left side of the keyboard and are GL Linear switches just like the rest of the keyboard. This allows you to customise your own shortcut inputs for any game you wish.

Another handy feature is Game Mode. The G815 comes with a button that deactivate keys not typically used when gaming, preventing you from accidentally hitting any of them when playing. I personally don’t think Game Mode is solving a big issue, but it’s a nice bonus to have. The compact size of the Logitech G815 is partly owed to its low-profile keys. Some ardent gamers may not be a fan of this approach, preferring the chunky keys of your typical mechanical keyboard, but the results don’t feel too different from the norm. An amusing side note is that while the Game Mode is designed to reduce the risk of accidental activation of certain keys, it's very easy to accidentally activate the other additional keys on the keyboard. Along the left side, the Logitech G815 has five macro keys and the issue is that they are so close to the others that I keep pressing G5 rather than CTRL, up to a quarter of the time. Frankly, this is the biggest irritation I have with the keyboard and I can't imagine that giving the G keys an extra few mm of space would have been difficult. With linear keys, the force required for pressing them down increases linearly. Therefore, you have a smooth key stroke from start to end. Logitech’s G Hub software is extremely accessible for those who may be new to the delights of macros and custom lighting. Logitech’s G Hub also offers a great set of options for programming the macro keys, allowing for more elaborate commands.

The Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB is one of the best-looking gaming keyboards currently available, evoking similar vibes of pro gaming gear like the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. The G815 doesn’t look to stand out via attention-grabbing design and sharp edges – instead, Logitech has opted for the sleek and minimalist look, and it’s worked wonders.

Size: First and foremost, you should make sure you're buying a keyboard that fits your desk and your hand size, whether it's a full-size keyboard or a TKL. Even though the Logitech G815 is thin, it is not really a compact keyboard – the many special keys need quite some space: on the left, there are five configurable macro keys (G1-G5) and above the function keys are some controls for switching profiles, managing illumination and activating / deactivating the gaming mode. Moreover, the keyboard features dedicated multimedia controls with an edgeless volume wheel. A convenient USB passthrough allows to connect an arbitrary USB device directly at the keyboard. The Logitech G815 has no wrist rest, but you could argue that due to its low-profile design, a wrist rest isn’t needed anyway. Lightsync RGB G Hub offers a wide range of options when it comes to lighting. If you’re a fan of extravagantly flashy lights and a full spectrum of colours then you’re covered, but if you’d prefer something a bit more understated and stylish, G Hub’s got you too. Lighting: Lighting doesn't just make your keyboard look cool, it also helps you see the keys you're pressing when you're gaming or typing in the dark. And, lighting can be programmed with LIGHTSYNC RGB to color code your keys to stand out. This is great for games with special key commands.

The trim nature of the G815 makes it more portable than most gaming keyboards and easier to move around for the occasional trip from point A to point B. But with the keyboard measuring in at 475mm long, d on’t expect to be carrying it in a small bag.The low-profile design of the G815 is a tempting proposition though , so if you have the money to spare and want a premium keyboard that’s easy to carry over to your mate’s house or switch setups from bedroom to couch, look no further than the Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB keyboard. GL switches deliver the responsiveness and reliability of mechanical switches in an ergonomically designed,
