About this deal

It is not possible to complete the observations in this course using a member of staff in your placement. Observations must take place directly by the centre that runs the course. Health and Safety in Early Years Settings: Training on health and safety practices specific to early years education, including risk assessments and safety regulations. Learners will need to be working or have a suitable work placement in an early years care and education setting. We recommend learners complete 350 placement hours whilst undertaking this qualification. Learners must be in a position to become fully involved in all activities, particularly the observation of children. This qualification requires assessment in real working situations. What are the entry requirements? If you’re looking to gain full practitioner status as an early years’ educator, also known as EYE, thenthis Early Years Educator Level 3 diploma is thecourse for you. Learners aged 16-19 (and learners aged 19-24 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities) funded by the Education Funding Agency will not require GCSE English and maths grade A* - C prior to commencing their Early Years Educator qualification. Many other providers are currently not compliant with the observation requirements for this course.This will enable staff with an EYE qualification and Level 2 English and mathematics qualifications to count in the Level 3 staff: child ratios in childcare settings. This includes those who already hold an EYE qualification, began studying an EYE from September 2014, or will achieve an EYE in the future.
