Norris, J., & Sawyer, R. (2012). Toward a dialogic methodology. In J. Norris, R. D. Sawyer, & D. E. Lund (Eds.), Duoethnography: Dialogic methods for social, health, and educational research (pp. 9–39). New York: Routledge. After being harassed, J.D. pulls his gun on school bullies Ram Sweeney & Kurt Kelly and fires blanks at them. Veronica Sawyer finds herself fascinated by this dark and quirky newcomer. He meets Veronica at a convenience store, where they proceed to flirt with each other. When Veronica embarrasses Heather Chandler at a frat party, Heather vows to destroy her reputation. Later, J.D. shows up at Veronica's house and they end up having sex after an impromptu game of "strip croquet". Veronica tells J.D. she wants to make Heather puke her guts out. The next morning, Veronica and J.D. break into Heather's house. J.D. serves Heather a liquid he claims is a hangover cure but is actually drain cleaner, killing her. Although initially shaken by their act, J.D. regains his composure and urges Veronica to forge a dramatic suicide note in Heather's handwriting. Veronica finally decides she's had enough and breaks up with J.D. He later climbs into her room with his revolver to kill her but finds Veronica hanging from a noose. Thinking she's dead, he talks about his plan to blow up the school during a pep rally. A petition he has been circulating via Heather Duke, to get the band Big Fun to perform on campus, was actually a mass suicide note. Most of the students had already signed, so the mass murder would appear to be a mass suicide instead. However, unbeknownst to J.D., Veronica faked the hanging by rigging herself with a harness around her waist. From our point of view, it was very simple to assemble and only took a couple of minutes to put together and make sure that it was secure before using. It seems extremely strong and durable and should stand up to a child’s use. The easy extendable adjustment that can be made to ensure that it is the right size for your child is excellent. We would recommend using a safety helmet just in case. We found it best to use in big open spaces rather than going up and down on the pavement. Personally, I wouldn’t let the kids ride this in the house (unless you have lots of space of course) and when outdoors make sure there are no cars, parked or otherwise, as it would be so easy to scratch one or scoot into their path, and with being down so low visibility might be impeded. a b Ben Bloom (7 February 2017). J.D.'s past is riddled with devastation. He lost his mother, Ms. Dean, at a young age after she decided to step into a building that she knew her husband was about to blow up. Following the death of his mother, J.D. and his father frequently moved from city to city following his fathers career. He had primarily lived his life without making connections to fellow students because he knew it was only a matter of time until he would move away again. This happened up until he transferred to Westerburg High School, where he ultimately fell in love with Veronica Sawyer. Davidson, J. (2010). [8] At the 2007 English Schools Championships she was the high jump runner-up with a personal best of 1.70m ( 6 + 3⁄ 4in), finishing behind Katarina Johnson-Thompson. [9] The following year, Sawyers won the English Schools' titles in the long jump and the pentathlon – a feat she repeated in 2009. [8] In 2010, she won a scholarship to study at Millfield public school.
