Although we can't guarantee all pumps and tire gauges will work with Fillmore valves, we have tried most of the pumps and gauges on the market today and have found very few exceptions where there are function issues. There may be some pumps out there that will not work correctly. Depending on the valve and sealant combo, I often need to clean Presta valves every two or three months. Sometimes a core will be so gunked up the only solution is to replace it. I have been using the same pair of Filmore Valves on my mountain bike for a year and a half, and they are still as crisp as the day I installed them. Yes, compatible. The poppet pushes against the insert when you release pressure, so it can take a bit of additional force on the cap to let the air out of the tires. Now push the valve stem into the hole in the rim and push it right the way though. Then place the rubber 0-ring onto the valve stem and slide it all the way down until it meets the rim. They’re slide slotted to work with inserts but still have a straight through hole for fast filling if you’ve not put an insert in the way. Another nice touch is that one of the valve caps works as a mini wrench for undoing the valve core (for faster inflation/sealant filling) and the other one is a spoke tensioning key. Oh and the rubber rim plug sections are replaceable too. A few types of goods are exempt from being returned.
