About this deal

Every time color is removed from your hair you run the risk of damage, so I recommend looking for one that’s gentle, moisturizing, and free of bleach and ammonia,” advises Fleming. Los Angeles-based colorist and owner of Highbrow Hippie salon Kadi Lee agrees: “If these two ingredients are present, you’re just asking for more trouble.” Start by washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo, which will help remove some of the dyes and enhance the results of the remover, says Fleming. It’s also imperative to follow the directions of the particular product you’re using to a T—now is not the time for creative license. Some describe it as cat pee and other say it smells like rotten eggs. This could be because the colour remover is extra-powerful to ensure it works on darker hair dyes. Combine both ingredients and create a mix. Damp your hair using warm water, then shampoo your hair using the baking soda mixture. The smell did not linger on my hair like Colour B4 does. In fact, the conditioner that came with the kit took a lot of the scent away. To conclude I’m glad I tried the Revolution Pro colour Remover. I would recommend it for those trying to remove colours they have applied from their hair. Obviously not for those using direct dyes though. I feel Colour B4 max strength is stronger than this. But that this is the same as Colourless. In fact I think its made in the same place and wouldn’t be surprised if it is the same (I just can’t remember if that ones comes with a conditioner and if it smelt the same).

The buffer made my hair feel so dry I thought it would snap! It was like the strongest clarifying shampoo ever. I honestly was concerned! There are a lot of DIY hair colour remover suggestions you’ll come across when you search online. Some people will suggest baking powder and dandruff shampoo, others will say vinegar and others lemon juice. This is is one of the best hair color removers available right now. This is a strong product that can remove the stubborn permanent dye. This product is gentle enough to also re-color the hair immediately after removal. boost avocado oil, bamboo oil, and a protective complex to help protect against breakage.

This hair colour remover works only on permanent hair colour. It is not effective on temporary dye nor will it remove cuticle staining. Colour removers only remove semi/demi and permanent colours. Also if you have had bleach (High lights, full head etc) those areas where you applied colour onto the bleach may have stained the hair. So this will not remove staining. A colour remover will not remove bleach from your hair. Bleached hair has had the colour pigment stripped from it. Once these bonds or links have been dissolved, the artificial colour molecules have nothing to hold them in place and since they are smaller now, they can easily get out of the hair shaft through the cuticle. It removes both permanent and semi permanent colour, and also helps to remove build up – perfect if you have been colouring your hair for years. Combine vinegar, water, and essential oil ( you could do this during the 10 minutes). Wash your hair with this as the final rinse, be sure to make enough.

Leave it on your hair for up to 20 minutes, rinse out with warm water, and condition your hair with a deep conditioner. After de-colouring your hair you can re-dye it immediately without any problem. What we like about it: The Scott Cornwall Decolour strips out all kinds of permanent hair dye and you can reapply hair colour immediately. Permanent hair dye replaces some of your natural hair colour molecules with artificial colour molecules. So what a hair colour remover does is get inside your hair shafts and dissolves the bonds holding the colour molecules together. It also shrinks the molecules. Hair color remover in and of itself is stripping and has the potential to damage your hair. The experts we spoke with warned that formulas that contain these additional ingredients are only going to be even more drying and increase the likelihood that the process really takes a toll on your hair.
