The backlighting operates through Razer’s renowned Chroma lighting engine, which is well known for bringing out the best in any Razer product. The soft, light buttons are easily good enough for gaming, but they still can’t compare with mechanical hardware: those pricier devices offer more weight and speed, with a crisper action. It's not very intuitive for people who aren't used to RGB software, or who have used other RGB software that wasn't made by Razer. If you don’t see the brightness option in the above method, it probably means the USB port you use to connect your keyboard is damaged.

The Cynosa Lite does have RGB LEDs in its keys, but they’re underwhelming: the lighting is not bright or consistent, and the sole lighting zone means you don’t get many customisation options. With the Cynosa V2, Razer added dedicated media controls as you will have quick access to pausing, playing and skipping media files. The Lite version of the Cynosa uses a single zone while the Chroma, Chroma Pro and Chroma V2 use individual backlit keys. I chose this because I didn't want some rainbow-painted mess with light between the keys, or giant non-standard letters on the keys. The Razer Cynosa Chroma Pro also features underglow lighting that will light up the underside of your keyboard.
The G213 also used membrane hardware, and it offer heavy, satisfying typing that’s not far removed from mechanical devices.It usually happens with water damage, in case you accidentally have spilled your juice or coffee over the keyboard. The height, top to bottom, feels a little narrow compared to previous keyboards I've used, but is adequate.
