This is an emotional tour de force, with a plot that packs great power but is lifted, as always, by genuine human warmth.The third brother is Liam, this is his second marriage and he won't allow his (younger) second wife Nell to interact with the children from his first marriage. Despite the occasional Florentine mansion, though, Keyes is not interested in glamour, but the darkness that can be wrought from the most innocuous occasions. The Casey brothers, Johnny, Ed and Liam, and their families get together regularly for important occasions, all through the flawless organisation of Johnny’s wife, Jessie. The one character that had no redeeming qualities, really got under my skin, as he is the type of villain that actually exist in real life.
