About this deal

In fact, your little scone-grabber will probably want you to hang around reading, until it's finished. We take pride in offering a wide selection of used books, from classics to hidden gems, ensuring there’s something for every literary palate. I was mildly confused to begin with we are thrown into the story by seeing everything through a dog's eyes, and of course, he described things differently than humans would. Somewhere in the depths of his consciousness was a memory clawing its way to the surface, tormenting him, refusing to let him rest.

Fluke is also accepted by Rumbo’s owner, a scrap-metal merchant, who only feeds them occasionally so they have to fend for themselves most of the time. Catching the eye of a kindly old man, he’s soon carried off through the busy streets and road traffic, none of which he’s ever seen before and all described the way they must look to a very small dog. It’s about Fluke discovering other dogs who become friends, all the while seeing humans in a completely new perspective. At the time I quite liked the ‘Rat’ novels but even then I preferred his less bloody ones such as ‘Jonah’ or ‘The Spear’. Will usually dispatch within same working day if paid before 14:00 GMT (excludes weekends and holidays). Each book is interwoven with the real biographical facts, and takes place over a few days – so it is possible to fit in a lot of detecting into their all too short lives. The author takes the reader through many gripping and entertaining scenarios that ‘Fluke’ encounter while going through the confusions and quests caused by the lingering memories in his mind; memories which take him through his life towards an unknown destination and a surprising and pleasant climax.

As he grow some of these recollections become more vivid and he goes looking for the life he left behind that he cannot quite remember. The Rats trilogy, The Fog, The Magic Cottage - novels that have a special place in millions of readers’ lives. He is plagued by distant memories which will him to embark on a journey to discover the truth about himself. In fact, I found it quite eye opening and it strengthened some of the points that I think this book was trying to make. One of James Herberts better stories, in this book he isn't just trying to gross you out or scare the pants of you, the plot is a bit more serious. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. Particularly well-imagined is the way everything looks to this puppy: because he’s part dog and part human, the world around him is vast, loud, incomprehensible and at times terrifying—yet increasingly lit up by sudden shafts of human understanding too. Albiet sweet, it certainly doesn't have the same soppiness the American movie had, and the message is much stronger in the book. Round and round that kitchen we ran, knocking chairs over, crashing against cupboards, shouting and screaming at each other, too far gone with animal rage to concern ourselves with the noise we were making and the damage we were doing.
